Favorite to win the Bank of America ROVAL 400
Chase Elliott, the back-to-back two-time winner at the Bank of America ROVAL 400, is the betting favorite to win this upcoming weekend at +220 odds.
Elliott has been inconsistent in the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs, finishing 18th last race at the YellaWood 500 as well as 25th or worse two other times, but he was the runner-up at the South Point 400 on September 26 and has had success at this race before.
Larson, who has a Cup Series-leading six wins and is tied for most Top 5 and 10 finishes alongside Hamlin, is second on the board at +450. Larson has finished 10th or worse in each of his last two races but was Top 6 in the three playoff races before that, including a first-place finish at the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol on September 18.
Martin Truex Jr. is a distant third at +700 but he comes in racing well, finishing in the Top 7 in four of the five NASCAR playoff races. He's third in playoff points behind Larson and Hamlin.
Kyle Busch, coming off a 27th-place finish at Talladega, is fourth at +1,000, while Hamlin rounds out the Top 5 at +1,100. Hamlin ranks first in the playoff standings after winning two of the five races to go along with finishes of second, seventh, and ninth.
How to bet on NASCAR
The most popular way to bet on NASCAR is by simply picking the winner of a race, which is also referred to as an outright. There are plenty of other ways to wager, including betting on whether or not a driver will finish in the Top 3 or Top 10 of a race.
Another popular betting option is head-to-head matchup betting, where sportsbooks pair up two drivers and you choose who you think will finish better in the race, which is far easier than trying to select someone to win out of a field of approximately 40 drivers.
