The Minnesota Twins are looking to complete a four-game sweep of the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field on Sunday afternoon.
These are two teams heading in opposite directions and my Twins vs. Rangers prediction believes Pablo Lopez will be in command from the opening pitch.

My analysis
Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Pablo Lopez has been fairly consistent in the second half of the season.
Since his ERA rose to 5.18 on July 5th, Lopez is 3-1 with a 3.25 ERA (13 ER in 36 IP) in his last six starts. He's gone at least six innings in four of those outings while allowing two earned runs or fewer in all but one. He's also issued a total of just seven walks: three in one game against the Mets and no more than one free pass in the other five starts.
Control hasn't been much of an issue for Lopez in 2024. In fact, Lopez has the 13th-lowest walk rate of 99 pitchers with at least 100 IP this year.
The 28-year-old Lopez is the veteran on this staff. The righthander has allowed Over 1.5 walks in just five of his 24 starts, and two of them came in April.
The Texas Rangers sit in the middle of the pack in terms of walks per game at 3.12 after Twins pitchers issued zero free passes on Saturday night.
I expect Lopez to stay in control just as he has all season long.

The Twins are rolling right now with three straight low-scoring wins. Let's take that trend to continue behind Lopez on the mound.
