This will be a bullpen game for the Minnesota Twins, but that is not necessarily a negative. Andrew Morris has posted a 3.01 xERA over the last month across 11 relief appearances, and Minnesota’s bullpen owns a 3.85 FIP over the last week with minimal home run damage.
The biggest factor is the Detroit Tigers’ offensive collapse. Detroit has a 27 wRC+ over its previous six games and has scored just nine runs during that span.
Troy Melton is having a good season, but he has been more vulnerable lately, posting a 6.33 xERA over his last two outings while allowing 1.42 HR/9.
With the Twins carrying a 110 wRC+ recently, Minnesota has the clear edge.

That is notable against Melton amid his issues with the long ball, and the Tigers’ bullpen has also been vulnerable to air contact, posting a 44.7% fly-ball rate over the last week.
