The Boston Red Sox are turning to go-to starter Brayan Bello to snap a three-game skid and also avoid being swept by the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field on Sunday, September 7.

My Red Sox vs. Diamondbacks predictions and MLB picks call for Bello to do just that and lead Boston back to the wins column this afternoon.

Red Sox vs Diamondbacks prediction

Red Sox vs Diamondbacks best bet: Red Sox moneyline (-110)

This is a bounce-back spot for the Boston Red Sox after dropping the first two games of the series to the Arizona Diamondbacks, and Sox starter Brayan Bello has been excellent all season.

The 26-year-old righty sports a solid 3.07 ERA and 1.23 WHIP, with even better 2.85 and 1.16 marks on the highway. Additionally, I particularly value that Bello has only allowed more than three earned runs in two games all season.

Arizona has righty Ryne Nelson toeing the rubber, and he’s also spun it nicely this season with a 3.57 ERA and 1.05 WHIP. He’s also held opposing hitters to an unsustainably low .249 BABIP despite surrendering a 45.2% hard-hit rate.

For reference, Nelson's BABIP is the 11th-lowest mark among the 76 pitchers with 130 innings this season, while the hard-hit rate is ninth highest.

The Boston bats bounce back this afternoon.

Red Sox vs Diamondbacks same-game parlay (SGP)

Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran sports a high-end .377 wOBA, .221 ISO, and .878 OPS against right-handed pitchers this season, and he’s picked up 25 runs, 39 hits, and 27 RBI across 42 second-half games.

Turning to Arizona star Corbin Carroll, he’s closing out 2025 in style.

He’s piled up 27 runs, 38 hits, and 24 RBI over just 34 games since the calendar flipped to August, which has helped him skyrocket to an elite .394 wOBA, .334 ISO, and .946 OPS against righties for the campaign.
