Our 3 best MLB player props for Saturday, September 20
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Carlos Rodon Under 6.5 strikeouts
Carlos Rodon has been dominant all year long for the New York Yankees, and he’s racked up the strikeouts. The lefty has 190 Ks in 182 1/3 innings of work. However, lately, Rodon isn't striking out as many hitters.
He’s cashed the Under in punchouts in eight consecutive appearances and had only four Ks in his last start against the Minnesota Twins, and six vs. the Detroit Tigers before that. He’s still effective, but just isn’t missing as many bats.
Current Baltimore Orioles batters are also hitting .312 against him across 48 at-bats.

Prop #2: Shane Bieber Under 5.5 hits allowed
The Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Shane Bieber has lived up to expectations since making his debut with the team following a midsummer trade, posting a 3-1 record and 3.72 ERA across five appearances.
Bieber had one difficult outing, but has otherwise given his ball club a chance to win every time he's taken the mound. The righty has allowed 25 hits in 29 innings of work, but he’s cashed the Under in hits surrendered in four of his five outings in 2025.
He’ll face the Kansas City Royals tonight, who are 17-for-76 lifetime against him (.224). Yes, the Royals just scored 20 runs on Friday, but I’m expecting Bieber to keep them at bay.

Prop #3: Shohei Ohtani Over 1.5 total bases
Shohei Ohtani is hitting .355 over the last week with four home runs and six RBI. He’s up to 52 homers and has cashed the Over in total bases in five straight contests.
Ohtani was 1-for-4 on Friday with a three-run bomb against the San Francisco Giants and has a pair of multi-hit games in his last four. Ohtani cannot be stopped right now, and he historically swings it well versus San Francisco.
The Japanese superstar is batting .338 in September with seven doubles and seven home runs. Whether it’s another extra-base hit or a pair of singles or more, Ohtani will produce the goods again.
