Monday, August 8, ushers in another week of the MLB season, and I’ve searched for the top MLB player props for this 13-game slate.

Two veteran left-handers highlight my picks, followed by slugger Kyle Stowers, who is leading the way for the red-hot Miami Marlins.

Best MLB player props today

  • Mets Manaea u1.5 ER (+125)
  • Rangers Corbin u2.5 ER (-125)
  • Marlins Stowers HR (+300)

Our 3 best MLB player props for Monday, August 4

Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.

Sean Manaea Under 1.5 earned runs (+125 at Caesars)

Sean Manaea returned last month from a lengthy stint on the IL, and he’s been nothing short of spectacular. The left-hander is 1-1 in four appearances with an impressive 2.08 ERA, striking out 22 in 17 1/3 innings while walking just four.

Manaea has cashed the Under in earned runs allowed in every single start. He tossed five innings of one-run baseball last time out against the San Diego Padres. Tonight, the southpaw will face the Cleveland Guardians, who own the worst team batting average in baseball at .229 with the fifth-fewest runs scored.

He’s surrendered just two earned runs in nine innings at home this year. Cleveland is batting just .227 against left-handed hurlers and .226 on the road. Manaea has been in top form, and my MLB picks expect that trend to continue in the series opener at Citi Field.

Patrick Corbin Under 2.5 earned runs (-125 at Caesars)

Patrick Corbin owns a 3.78 ERA this season, but July was a great month for the veteran. Across five starts, he compiled a 2.30 ERA, allowing only seven earned runs in 27 1/3 innings of work while hitting the Under in earned runs each time.

The Texas Rangers lefty has pitched at least five innings in four consecutive starts, and he allowed two earned runs to the Los Angeles Angels last time out. Arguably, his most impressive start last month was against the Detroit Tigers on July 18, holding them scoreless in 5 2/3 frames.

Tonight, Corbin will face the New York Yankees, who just got swept by the Miami Marlins. While Corbin did surrender three earned runs to the Bronx Bombers earlier in the year, his ERA is sitting at 3.10 at home compared to 4.33 on the road, so I’ll take him to feed off the Yanks’ recent struggles at Globe Life Field tonight.

Kyle Stowers anytime home run (+300 at Caesars)

Kyle Stowers is enjoying a breakout campaign for the Miami Marlins, smacking 25 home runs in 105 games. The 27-year-old just had a huge series against the Yankees, going deep twice in three games.

The Marlins star also had a massive July from a power standpoint, slugging 10 round-trippers. He’ll face Houston Astros righty Jason Alexander tonight, who has allowed five home runs in eight appearances in ‘25. Three of those bombs have come off left-handed bats.

Stowers has 24 of his homers off right-handed hurlers, and he’s left the yard 13 times at home – Miami is hosting the Astros in this series. He’s feeling confident right now, and Alexander’s 7.36 ERA is alarming.
