Our 3 best MLB player props for Monday, August 11

Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.

Nathan Eovaldi Under 1.5 earned runs (+120 at Caesars)

Nathan Eovaldi has been spectacular for the Texas Rangers this season.

The 35-year-old is absolutely dealing, compiling a 10-3 record and 1.38 ERA across 19 starts. He’s struck out 111 hitters in just as many innings while walking a mere 20 batters. Also, Eovaldi has only given up five home runs.

He’s cashed the Under in earned runs allowed in six consecutive outings. The right-hander tossed eight scoreless against the New York Yankees last week and has surrendered just one earned run over his last three appearances.

He’ll face the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight in Arlington, where his ERA sits at 1.54.

While Arizona is batting .286 against him across 63 at-bats, 23 of those at-bats are from Lourdes Gurriel alone, and the D-Backs aren’t exactly an elite offensive team.

Eovaldi is in top form, and he shouldn’t have any issues putting together another gem.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto Under 1.5 earned runs (+125 at Caesars)

We’re shifting over to another elite starter for my second pick.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto has emerged as the ace of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ staff this season amidst their flurry of injuries. The second-year big leaguer has gone 10-7 across 22 starts, posting a 2.51 ERA. He’s extremely consistent week in and week out.

Yamamoto last took the mound on August 3, and it was another solid outing. He tossed 5 2/3 innings against the Tampa Bay Rays, giving up zero runs. In fact, he’s hit the Under in earned runs surrendered in three of his previous four starts, and two of them were scoreless outings.

The Japanese right-hander will face the Angels for the first time tonight in the Freeway Series. They’re 3-7 in their last 10 and aren’t exactly a team that thrives at the plate. Plus, the Dodgers are visiting the Halos, and Yamamoto’s ERA lowers to 1.63 on the road. He’ll dominate.

Corey Seager Over 1.5 hits (+190 at Caesars)

Corey Seager and the Rangers may potentially miss out on the playoffs again this season, but he’s doing his part offensively.

After a relatively slow start, his numbers are starting to improve. Seager is batting .265 with 17 home runs and 41 RBI.

The infielder has cashed the Over in hits in three of his previous four games, registering at least two hits in each contest. He’s 6-for-14 during that span with four walks as well.

Texas faces Ryne Nelson of the Diamondbacks tonight and Seager is 2-for-4 lifetime with a double and a home run in this matchup.

Seager is hitting .268 against righties and .286 at home. He’s in a groove right now, and his confidence should be high against an arm that he’s had success against in the past. Another multi-hit game could be in the cards.
