Fresh off an offensive onslaught against Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic now have their sights set on the Netherlands in Pool D action at the 2026 World Baseball Classic.
Although these teams have split their four head-to-head meetings since the tournament’s inception, my Netherlands vs. Dominican Republic predictions expect Vladimir Guerrero Jr. & Co. to swing their way to another convincing win at LoanDepot Park.

Netherlands vs Dominican Republic best bet: Dominican Republic -6.5 (+100 at DraftKings)
While the Netherlands’ offensive hopes hinge on just a few MLB bats, the Dominicans boast superstars one through nine.
As it stands, the DR’s No. 9 hitter is shortstop Geraldo Perdomo, who finished fourth in NL MVP voting last season. Featuring heavy hitters like Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Juan Soto, Manny Machado, and Fernando Tatis Jr., it came as no surprise that they hammered Nicaragua 12-3 on Friday.
The Dominican also boast a major edge on the mound, sending two-time All-Star Luis Severino to the mound opposite Arij Fransen, who finished with a 6.34 ERA across 55 1/3 innings in Double-A last season.
Trailing only the USA in the WBC odds, expect the DR to roll.
