With Seattle owning a 57 wRC+, .246 wOBA, and 30.6% strikeout rate over its last six games, Boston is a tasty look this evening.

My Mariners vs. Red Sox predictions and MLB picks for Tuesday, Sept. 1 are backing the Red Sox at a fair price today.

Look for the Red Sox to get on top of Bryan Woo early while the Mariners offense sputters.

Who will win Mariners vs Red Sox today: Red Sox moneyline (57%)

For help understanding probabilities, see our odds calculator.

The Boston Red Sox have yet to announce their starter for today as of 11:30 a.m. ET, but that does not matter because the Seattle Mariners have Bryan Woo on the mound.

Road starts have been Woo's kryptonite. He sports a 5.96 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP while allowing a hard-hit rate over 46%.

On top of that, the Mariners’ bats are still ice cold, and shockingly, it is just Cal Raleigh producing at the moment.

“Wha- what do you mean, they put up eight runs last night?!”

Seattle’s last six games: 57 wRC+, .246 wOBA, 30.6% strikeout rate, .534 OPS, and .119 ISO.

Oh, they are on fire. (Sarcasm.)

Boston, on the other hand, does not have the greatest numbers over its last six, mainly due to sleepwalking through its series against the Yankees. However, over its previous 12 games, the Red Sox at least have a sub-19% strikeout rate, .731 OPS, 104 wRC+, and .326 wOBA.

It is the Red Sox or nothing here. Play to 60%.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Roman Anthony is batting .500, with a 1.000 SLG and a 1.556 OPS since his return.

Mariners vs Red Sox Over/Under pick: Over 7.5 (49%)

With Woo on the road, where his struggles have been very real, the Red Sox should be able to rack up some early runs. Opponents are averaging 3.7 runs per game against Woo on the road, so we should see some runs this evening.

The Red Sox were supposed to start Sonny Gray, who has been nails this season. However, regardless of who is on the mound for Boston, the Over is still the lean up to 52%.

Mariners vs Red Sox home run prediction: Roman Anthony (14%)

Despite having only two games under his belt since returning from injury, Roman Anthony has been gearing up to leave the yard since the second he stepped back into the box.

Four of the last eight batted balls by the Red Sox future star have left the bat at over 101 mph. That much hard contact is bound to find the bleachers eventually, so why not against a guy who struggles away from home?

Against left-handed hitters on the road, Woo is allowing a 46% hard-hit rate and a 66.4% elevation rate. Over his last 30 batters faced, hitters are generating nearly a 70% hard-hit rate, a 13.6% barrel rate, and a 72.7% elevation rate.

Anthony covers more than 87% of Woo’s arsenal, making this a very strong look this evening.
