HR Prop #1: Shohei Ohtani
Shohei Ohtani has now smacked 48 home runs on the year and just went deep twice in the series finale against the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday. He’s already left the yard three times in September.
Tonight, the Los Angeles Dodgers face Colorado Rockies starter Chase Dollander, who has allowed 18 homers in just 20 starts. The Japanese superstar has 36 round-trippers off right-handed batters.
He’s also going to be confident after Sunday’s performance and will creep one step closer to No. 50 this evening. I'll happily add him to my MLB picks.
HR Prop #2: Eugenio Suarez
Eugenio Suarez has been a great pickup for the playoff-chasing Seattle Mariners. He’s already slugged nine home runs with his new team since coming over at the trade deadline.
The veteran is red-hot at the moment. He has three long balls across his last two contests — including a two-homer game on Sunday against the struggling Atlanta Braves — upping his total to 45 bombs.
There’s every reason to believe he’ll keep it going tonight. The M’s take on the St. Louis Cardinals, and it’s Miles Mikolas on the bump. Suarez is 9-for-19 lifetime against him with four round-trippers.
HR Prop #3: Pete Alonso
The New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies begin a crucial four-game divisional set tonight, and Pete Alonso will certainly play his part in how this series goes. The slugger is having a solid campaign, cracking 33 home runs and driving in 113 while hitting .267.
He’s going to face Aaron Nola in the series opener, who is having a season to forget. Nola owns an ERA over six and has given up 15 home runs in just 13 starts. Alonso has raked against Nola in the past, going 18-for-55 with six long balls.
Alonso has 24 bombs off righties and 17 homers on the road. He’s also hitting .351 vs. Philadelphia in 2025 with a round-tripper.
