KBO betting starts the weekend off nice and early Saturday with six games on the board. But while we’re all enjoying the ball, the 2020 Korean baseball season has been a horrible one for the Hanwha Eagles and their historic losing streak.

ESPN Game of the Day: Kia Tigers (18-16) vs SK Wyverns (11-22)
Probable Pitchers: Ki-young Im (2-3, 3.34 ERA) vs Seung-won Moon (1-2, 4.68)
The Kia Tigers have won three of their last four games, thanks in large part to their bats showing up and they’ll hope that continues in their series against the SK Wyverns.
The Tigers are plating 6.8 runs per game over that stretch, and have also been getting some solid pitching to support that production. Ki-young Im is the next Tiger to take the mound, and the righty is having an excellent year, with a 3.34 ERA with a 1.21 WHIP, while allowing two earned runs or fewer in four of his last five starts.
Wyverns pitcher Seung-won Moon has been one of SK's more reliable starters, but the Tigers have a decided edge when it comes to lineup. That will show as the Tigers roar to another victory.
Pick: Kia Tigers (-121)
KT Wiz (12-20) vs Samsung Lions (15-18) – Game 1
Probable Pitchers: Odrisamer Despaigne (2-2, 4.29 ERA) vs David Buchanan (4-2, 3.79 ERA)
The weather did the Lions a favor by postponing yesterday’s game as they’ll now be able to matchup import starter David Buchanan against the KT Wiz’s Odrisamer Despaigne for Game 1 of Saturday’s doubleheader.
After a bit of a rough transition to the KBO, Buchanan is now in a groove. The former Mets draft pick has allowed just one run on 16 hits in 20 innings over his last three starts, which includes games against the two best lineups in the KBO – Doosan and NC.
On the other side, Despaigne is coming off a pair of rough starts, but still owns a respectable 4.29 ERA and 1.31 WHIP. He also limited the Lions to one earned run on five hits when he faced them back on May 17. Pitching will be the story early.
Pick: Under 5.0 First 5 Innings (-101)
Doosan Bears (21-12) vs Hanwha Eagles (7-27)
Probable Pitchers: Hui-kwan Yu (4-1, 3.60 ERA) vs Seung-ju Han (0-0, 0.00 ERA)
When it will end for the poor Hanwha Eagles? After yesterday’s 5-2 defeat at the hands of the Doosan Bears, the Eagles have now lost 18 straight ball games. Eighteen. That’s hard to imagine. What’s even harder to fathom is that they’ve lost all those games by two runs or more.
And now they send 19-year-old Seung-ju Han to the mound to make his KBO debut against one of the most dangerous lineups in the league. The Bears counter with veteran lefty Hui-kwan Yu, who is more than capable of holding down a lineup that hasn’t scored more than three runs in the last 10 games.
The problem with this game is of course the juice. A normal runline hits the board at +/-1.5, but the Eagles have been so bad some books have been posting it as high as +/-3. Luckily, we can find -2.5 at a decent value.
It pains me a bit to do this, but the fading of the Eagles continues.
