Simplebet’s new microbetting LIV Golf markets are set to launch Friday at Rich Harvest Farms in Chicago.

The legal sports betting technology company struck an agreement in July with the pro golf league that features the likes of Phil Mickelson and Brooks Koepka to provide in-event wagering through operator Hard Rock Bet

The partnership could be a game-changer for LIV Golf’s involvement in sports betting as Hard Rock Bet customers can wager on whether Koepka will hit the fairway on a tee shot or make a specific score on a hole. Will Mickelson hit the green on a par 3 or can Dustin Johnson make birdie or better on a par 5?

“The LIV Golf Chicago event marks a massive accomplishment for the entire Simplebet team,” CEO Chris Bevilacqua said. “We couldn’t be more excited to launch our partnership with a league as forward-thinking as LIV Golf and provide engaging opportunities for its fans to engage with the sport.”

Perfect product?

LIV Golf is hoping for a bump in popularity as it continues to attempt new ways to reach golf fans. The controversial golf league brought in big names and began holding three-day events in June 2022.

It offers fans music during play on the course and a more football-like atmosphere during rounds. LIV hopes its product is perfect for microbetting.

However, there is competition. The PGA Tour has microbetting options available at DraftKings, FanDuel, and BetRivers.

Still, Simplebet has a proven track record that is attractive.

Simplebet’s portfolio grows

Simplebet has shown proven success and innovation for operators like DraftKings, bet365, and Caesars by providing microbetting options for NFL, NBA, MLB, college football, and college golf.

Its NBA markets grew 350% last season. Earlier this month, Simplebet launched “Same Drive Parlay” in the NFL, allowing bettors to wager on the outcome of a team’s possession and build a script for how it will go.

And the portfolio continues to grow. Online sports betting site and Canada-based Bet99 recently inked a deal with Simplebet to provide diverse microbetting options across several markets.
