Bettors are looking to get back on track after Week 9 went against them, and the public believes the Detroit Lions are the team to help them achieve that goal.
Key Takeaways
- The Lions, Bucs, and Ravens are popular favorites in Week 10.
- The Eagles and Steelers are getting a ton of love as underdogs.
- Bettors love the Colts in Sunday’s early game from Berlin.
A half-game out of first place in the NFC North, the Lions head into Week 10 coming off a lackluster home loss to the Vikings and trying to get right against a struggling Washington squad that’s more than a touchdown underdog without quarterback Jayden Daniels at home in the late window Sunday.
“Bettors are looking for the Lions to bounce back after a surprising upset in Week 9,” BetMGM trading manager Christian Cipollini said. “The Commanders keeping it close would be ideal for the sportsbook.”
There is little love for the home team. The Lions are the most-bet team at BetMGM this week as 8-point favorites, and they are getting 82% of both the handle and the wagers. DraftKings has seen at least 90% of both categories backing the road favorite.
Favorite love
The Patriots have been a popular bet over the last few weeks, but coming off a win with no cover against the Falcons, bettors are looking at the other side Sunday. The Buccaneers enter the contest as 2.5-point home favorites and are the second most-bet team by handle at BetMGM, where they’re getting a whopping 91% of the handle and nearly 80% of the tickets.
Baltimore has fallen back in favor with bettors and oddsmakers despite a 3-5 record. Lamar Jackson is back at quarterback, and the team is in the mix in the AFC North. As a 3.5-point road favorite against Minnesota, it's getting 89% of the handle and 66% of the bets at DraftKings.
The Ravens are also the fourth most-bet team by tickets at BetMGM, just ahead of the Bills, who are 9.5-point favorites getting over 80% of the wagers and handle at BetMGM.
In Sunday’s early game from Berlin, the public is also all over the Colts as 6-point favorites against the Falcons.
Pennsylvania underdogs
Bettors have also honed in on a pair of Keystone State teams that are the most-bet moneyline underdogs and among the top five spread teams this week at BetMGM.
“Favorites usually attract the most action, but as underdogs, the Eagles and Steelers are popular this week,” Cipollini said.
Pittsburgh, fresh off an impressive win over the Colts, is a 3-point underdog Sunday night away to the Chargers, who usually attract a lot of action, especially with short spreads. However, the majority of bets and money at both BetMGM and DraftKings are on the Steelers at home.
The Packers (-2.5) are favored at home over a Philadelphia squad that’s running away with the NFC East, and bettors are expecting them to keep to their winning ways. More than 80% of the tickets and handle at BetMGM are on the Eagles, and DraftKings is seeing the public take the underdogs' side as well.
Another underdog taking spread action is the Texans (+1.5), who are receiving the majority of tickets at DraftKings and BetMGM despite the Jaguars accounting for the majority of the handle.
The Vikings, Falcons, and Patriots are among the top five most-bet moneyline underdogs at BetMGM.

Totals and props
BetMGM’s most-bet total for Week 10 is Pats-Bucs over 48, followed by Jags-Texans under 38.5, Giants-Bears under 46.5, Browns-Jets under 38, and Falcons-Colts under 48.5.
Buffalo tight end Dalton Kincaid’s over 41.5 receiving yards is the most-bet player prop. Miami running back De’Von Achane over 61.5 rushing yards and Tampa Bay RB Rachaad White under 43.5 rushing yards round out the top three.
Bettors love taking Bills rusher James Cook in the anytime touchdown market, but with the Buffalo star dealing with an injury, Ray Davis is currently the most-bet scorer by tickets with odds of +260 at BetMGM. Colts RB Jonathan Taylor leads the first touchdown scorer market and has +290 odds to score Sunday morning against the Falcons.
