The Nevada Gaming Control Board reported Wednesday that online and retail sports betting operators made $41.7 million, up from the $29.8 million they produced in June 2024. Gross revenue stayed above $40 million for the third consecutive month, but total haul was down 10.9% from May.
Thanks in large part to solid baseball returns, June’s 8.4% hold rose from the the previous year's 6.2% win rate. Nevada online sportsbooks had $29.9 million of the total sports betting income, an impressive 78% year-over-year mobile profit increase.
Operators generated $496.6 million in bets during June, a 3.1% rise from the same month’s handle in 2024. However, with the NBA’s postseason's tail end and mostly baseball to drive betting, the Silver State produced its first handle below $500 million since August 2024.
Sportsbooks sent Nevada $2.8 million in June tax revenue.

Nevada hauled in the most baseball revenue since the U.S. Supreme Court overtured PASPA in 2018 this May, and followed that up with another record-breaking month. Diamond action led to $21.9 million, surpassing May’s $21.4 million. The sport’s latest income haul was also a 103.1% increase from June 2024.
Baseball profits of $55.5 million from April through June were up 72% from the same period in 2024.
“Other” sports, including golf, tennis, soccer, MMA, and boxing, generated $12.7 million in June, a 48.8% increase from the $8.6 million produced the same month a year ago.
The Oklahoma City Thunder defeating the Indiana Pacers in seven games to win the NBA title didn’t provide as much basketball revenue boost compared to 2024. The month with the Finals accounted for $8.3 million of total gross revenue, a 4.3% year-over-year decrease.
First-half increases
Sports betting generated over $3.95 billion in bets during 2025's first six months, a slight increase from the $3.8 billion during the same period in 2024.
Gross revenue spiked 11.7% year-over-year to $267.1 million. March kept 2025 from getting off to an even better start. A lack of NCAA tournament upsets crushed sportsbooks, which turned in a 2.6% hold.
Aside from March, win rates exceeded 8% in three of the other five months, with the other two producing holds of nearly 7%. The Silver State’s $18 million tax revenue from 2025's first half was up almost $2 million from the previous year.
