Jake Paul’s promotion company has added an undefeated British female boxer to the anticipated Netflix fight card on Dec. 19.

Key Takeaways

  • “Sweet” Caroline Dubois will defend her WBC women’s lightweight title against Camila Panatta on the Paul-Joshua card.

  • Paul’s promotions company plans to prominently feature Dubois in the future as well.

  • Paul is a significant underdog to accomplished professional, Joshua.

Paul, who’s scheduled to face Anthony Joshua in Miami, announced on the social media site X 10 days from the fight that WBC women’s lightweight champion “Sweet” Caroline Dubois has signed with Most Valuable Promotions.

“Time to show the world who the real MVP is,” Dubois said in the post.

Dubois, who’s posted an 11-0-1 record with five knockouts, is set to defend her title against Italy’s Camila Panatta (8-2-1, 1 KO) in a 10-round fight, according to ESPN. U.S. sportsbooks have yet to release betting odds for this bout.

“Caroline Dubois has been the most coveted free agent in women's boxing, and we are thrilled to have her join MVP," Most Valuable Promotions co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian said in a statement. "She's a champion, an Olympian, and a rising star in the UK and beyond."

Dubois-Panatta joins a loaded card that already features six preliminary bouts, including a cruiserweight battle between Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley.

Face of the sport

Dubois said in a statement that her mission is to become the face of women’s boxing and fight on these kinds of stages.

“Signing with MVP is the next step in my career. I'm proud to be under their roster, and I believe they will be able to help me on my Quest for Greatness," Dubois added.

Most Valuable Promotions’ latest signing isn't just a stunt to hype up Paul-Joshua. The company plans to feature Dubois prominently.

"While existing and new boxing promoters battle about belts, MVP's focus on women's boxing is driven by creating a global brand, with the largest roster of elite fighters, that delivers a product that is unquestionably the best athletes in the sport," Bidarian and Paul said. "Adding an undefeated world champion of Caroline's caliber is another key piece to that vision. She joins our elite British contingent, and we look forward to providing her the opportunity to continue her rise with an MVP event in the UK in early 2026."

Huge test

Dubois is the younger sister of IBF heavyweight champ Daniel Dubois, who knocked out Paul’s upcoming opponent during the fifth round of a title fight in September 2024. Joshua was the favorite against Dubois in that bout.

Dec. 19 will be Joshua’s first fight since that loss and elbow surgery. Joshua is 28-4 with 25 KOs and is a two-time heavyweight champion, making him one of the biggest tests Paul has faced in his career.

The YouTube star turned boxer is 12-1 with seven KOs against mostly retired fighters. Paul’s bout against Mike Tyson in November 2024 was the most-bet combat sport ever at multiple sportsbooks.

His next fight is an eight-round, heavyweight-sanctioned bout. Joshua will be the biggest fighter Paul has faced in the ring.

FanDuel has Joshua as a -1300 favorite, with Paul a +700 underdog. DraftKings lists Joshua at -1200, while BetMGM has him as short as -1000, with Paul at +550.

There is considerable action already being placed on Paul, a co-founder of sports betting and daily fantasy sports operator Betr.
