Scottish Open sleeper predictions

Sleeper pick to win: Justin Thomas
+4000 at BetMGM

It’s been a smooth, seven-event run for Justin Thomas. He’s gained true strokes across the board to rank fifth in this field in tee-to-green play and third in the around-the-green metric.

The heater has also resulted in six consecutive Top 20s, and he finished T22 at the 2025 Genesis Scottish Open with true strokes gained in all five metrics.

Sleeper pick to win: Marco Penge
+6000 at BetMGM

The Englishmen returned from a mini-layoff to recharge with a T9 at the BMW Invitational Open and gained true strokes off the tee, on approach, and on the greens.

Marco Penge also finished T2 at the 2025 Genesis Scottish Open last year while gaining true strokes across the board, so after winning three times on the DP World Tour last year, he’s a candidate to take another run at victory here this week.

Sleeper pick to win: Aaron Rai
+6600 at BetMGM

The 2026 PGA Championship winner also carded a T4 at the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open, and there’s no questioning Aaron Rai’s ball-striking ability.

He ranks second in this field in driving accuracy and ninth in true strokes gained tee-to-green across his past six events while gaining true strokes across the board.
