The 2025 Ryder Cup is just weeks away and returns to U.S. soil at the demanding Bethpage Black in New York, where Team USA will look to reclaim the trophy after Europe’s dominant win at Marco Simone in 2023.

With star power and storylines aplenty on both teams, this year’s clash sets up as another high-stakes chapter in golf’s most intense and favorite rivalry.

Here are my 2025 Ryder Cup golf picks.

Xander Schauffele Robert MacIntyre
Ben Griffin Ludvig Aberg
Bryson DeChambeau Justin Rose
Cameron Young Sepp Straka
Russell Henley Tyrrell Hatton
Patrick Cantlay Shane Lowry

2025 Ryder Cup pick to win

Pick: Team Europe
+130 at Fanatics

Home turf has been a huge historical advantage in the Ryder Cup, with the host winning each of the last five editions and eight of the past nine.

It’s a primary reason the Americans are favored to win at Bethpage Black this year.

Still, it’s been the Europeans who've won on U.S. soil twice — in 2012 and 2004 — while the Americans haven’t won across the pond since 1993 at The Belfry.

I consider the U.S. roster considerably inferior from top to bottom, especially when World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler has a ho-hum 2-2-3 Ryder Cup record and four Americans are teeing it up in the event for the first time.

The Europeans have proven winners leading the way in Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, and Jon Rahm, while Rasmus Hojgaard is the lone rookie.

Of course, Hojgaard earned his spot on points and capped off this DP World Tour season with a pair of runner-up finishes, bookended by a solid T13.

The experience and depth of the Europeans also give captain Luke Donald far more options than American captain Keegan Bradley has. Justin Thomas (7-4-2), Patrick Cantlay (5-2-1), and Collin Morikawa (4-3-1) are the only players with winning records on the U.S. side.
