Not sure if anyone remembers a thread a started on here last year called the post All-Star home system.   It's a 6-game chase system, although I'm going to cut it to 4 games this season due to the massive amount you would have to wager on the final 2 games.

Chase systems - There are some who despise them and say they will kill a bankroll.  If you manage properly and sometimes even take losses, you can do fine.  For nearly 3 years I've run out a home chase system and consistently turned a profit of between $500 to $1000 per week.  Plenty of ups and down though.

Post All-Star Home System -  Team must be at least 10 games over .500 at the All-Star break.   When the team starts a homestand of at least 6 games you chase them to win 1 game.  When you get a win, you're done.  Must start at the beginning.

Positives - We'll be dealing with good teams here. As of today, the qualifying teams would be Red Sox, Yankees, Rays, Phillies, Braves, and Giants.  Rays and Giants may be a no go depending on what happens this weekend.

Negatives -  Often very high juice.  I've thought about researching to see what the record would be using the run line.

I've researched this system back to 1999.  The record is a perfect 404-0.  I'll show a breakdown below of when each series finishes.

                Record   GM 1     GM 2    GM 3    GM 4    GM 5    GM 6
    2010   44-0            24      11         7            2
    2009   26-0            13      10         1            2
    2008   30-0            21        7         2
    2007   32-0            21        5         4            1           1
    2006   28-0           16         8         4
    2005   31-0           15       12         4
    2004   21-0            9        11         1
    2003   36-0           25         5         5                         1
    2002   41-0           24       12         4           1
    2001   45-0           22       19         3                         1
    2000   33-0           17        11        3           2
    1999   36-0           28         6         1                         1

    TOTAL  404-0    235     117      40            8          4

As you can see, the results don't lie.  So, if I would've cut the chase after 4 games I would've endured 4 losses.  Still making money.  Everyone has different betting methods (labby line, martingale). I've used the martingale just cause it's what I'm comfortable with.

At the end of the season, I would advise checking lineups.  For example, in 2009 I believe the Red Sox were basically throwing out a minor league lineup the last week of the season and went to four games.

I liked posting my picks last season and talking with people on a daily basis.  Hell, I'm no promoter or tout.  I do well with my picks in all sports.  And I have no trouble playing high money lines be it any sport except NFL.   I look for winners and get out as I try to turn my weekly profit.

I also think it's time I take advantage of this social media bonanza and join twitter where I'll post daily.  Maybe I'll get discovered some day.  Hope to get followers on twitter (CKPsports) and discuss things.   I also will contribute on this site.

BTW - The first picks I post will be later tonight on the ESPY awards for those who have access on their sites.  People laugh at this.  Check my post last year here on this.  Let's just say I know the right people to make this work.  And it's all about making money.

Looking @ records, I didnt see any series that went 6 games. A few went 5 games (4 to be exact).

Only problem with this sytem is twofold actually. The numbers grow ASTROMICALLY for a 4 game chase. if you lose that, you lose for entire second half w 2 loses. Obviously the record speaks for itself but:

    a -300
    plus a -220
    plus a -180
    plus a - 165

There shouldnt b a problem as long as the team ur betting doesnt die. This is a "blind" approach to betting because we all know teams do die like the 2010 madres.  There is too much juice. But a 4 game chase makes it almost resonable. Almost!!! I like ur idea bro, but if 2 injuries come to that "team", ur toast.  Lets see how it rolls out in 2011.

Fully understand your thoughts. I'll just go on the research I did for the last 11 years.  One day I'm going to sit down and see when this system actually lost.  With that said, a loss eventually will occur as nothing is full proof.

I'm thinking about following this and using a 3 line labby.  In other words, do a 3 game chase and then on the few losses treat games 4,5,6 as the next 3 game chase.  With the labby losses don't wipe you out and based on the record, you're virtually guaranteed to make  it back later.  I just need to figure out a good unit size.  Thoughts?

Not a bad idea, although I've never used a labby line.  With the martingale, it does get extremely pricey starting with the 3rd or 4th game. Not going beyond four games this season.  Rarely reaches that far anyway.

I would agree that with Red Sox, Yankees, Rays, Phillies, Braves, and Giants, that should be near a flawless system using a 4 or 5 game chase from here on out.

I'm going to use a 4-game chase.  For all the naysayers, the record speaks for itself. And I've only researched back to 1999.  With that said, a loss will eventually occur.

Following you on twitter @FadetheShark..... how many plays do you expect to have from here to the end of the year or to the point you stop tailing one of the teams?

    CKP22,

Wouldn't the teams that qualify for this system this year be the Yankees, Red Sox, Rangers, Phillies, Braves & Giants?  The Rays aren't 10 games over .500, so they shouldn't qualify.

Are you planning on posting the plays for this system in this thread?

Those are indeed the teams. No Rays. They qualified up until last Saturday.  I'll try to post both here and my twitter @CKPsports. Trying to garner a following.

Thanks for the follow. I'll post the exact number of my plays when I look at the spreadsheet tomorrow.  Probably be about 25 to 30 plays as we're dealing with six teams.

Washington and Milwaukee are both 10 games over .500 at home at the break. Is there any history for teams like this, 10 over at home and under 10 overall at the break?

    Good luck.

Giants were a winner on Game 1 Monday night against the Dodgers.  We have the Yankees, Red Sox and Rangers all starting up Friday night.

Post All-Star system plays are 5-0 with all 5 wins on Game 1.  Other system plays also are posted daily on twitter at @CKPsports.  Over $1,100 in profit in just over two weeks.
