NHL Home Chase

SMIT - been meaning to ask this but when you have "NA" in a box

NA = Not Applicable and I use it when the road team is favored.
Can't get a PL on a team that is the favorite.
I always play a home dog PL.

I think there is 11 plays tonight:
HOME
C1 DAL pl
A1 FLA pl
A1 NSH
A2 TB pl
B2 CAR
A2 ATL pl
A3 VAN

ROAD
C1 NYI pl
B1 MON pl
A1 PHI pl
A2 BOS pl

I think thats all.
It gets confusing when there are so many plays

Wouldn't the RPL be a no play tonight with Chicago being favored over Anaheim?

A no play for you, that is. If you are just doing the RPL chase and not the home chase, it would be a play, correct?

Just looked at lines and yes ANA HPL is the only play tonight.

I try to keep an eye on sites like vegasinsider.com and cappersmall.com to see which way the lines are moving and figure out the best time to place the bet based on paying the least amount of juice. For the home chase, I'm waiting on the following games as the book lines usually catch up to the vegas lines. These numbers are for the PL.

Toronto; Vegas (-280), Book avg. (-300)

Carolina; Vegas (-230) Book avg. (-240)

Florida: Vegas (-250) Book avg. (-270)

Not a big difference, but it helps minimize the risk if the chase doesnt work out. It adds up over time.

Smitler, since you do the HML and RPL chase combo, what do you do in a situation where you played the RPL in game 1, it lost, and now game 2 comes and the road team is favored? Play the road team ML and home team PL?

I simply don't play it.  Data shows it doesn't work to take the road team ML if they are favored.
If game 1 rpl lost then hml won therefore you would play the home team pl starting new chase if there were three games left.
A few times there was a one game RPL loss because of the situation you stated before.

Damn if there were ever going to be a time to use a filter on this home chase system it'd be with a team that didn't win a game for the entire month of January. But, they covered the PL at least a few times during that stretch, and its the only game today, so I'm on it.

Yikes they are horrible.  But I will take my chances on a HPL at -130 anyday.

EDM outright sweet.

I don't play RML so disregard any lines you may see listed in the RML column. That is just for the "March Lines" data gathering spreadsheet and sometimes I type them in both sheets by mistake.
