The roof will be closed for the game. They will only have it opened
for pre-game and halftime. This will be the first time that the Patriots prolific passing attack in will not have to be slowed down with windy cold
elements they have faced the last eight games. Truth be told this team
would have been much better suited to play in a dome like the last three
outstanding passing attacks (St. Louis, Minnesota, Indianapolis) but
this arsenal out shined all of them nonetheless.
Bill Belichick knows exactly how to exploit that very suspect secondary of the New York Giants. Randy Moss and Wes Welker matched up on Corey Webster and Aaron Ross will be the focal point of his attack...it does not seem fair does it? Finally, he will be able to go deep to Moss with out battling the wind. It does not matter which safety the Giants roll Moss's way (Gibril Wilson or James Butler) because they are both vulnerable verse big plays and have been all year.
The Giants will rush four and drop back seven because they have to. Not because the defensive line is so good but because their secondary is so bad. That's not good news verse an offensive line that is incredible at pass protection. Not to mention starting RG Stephen Neal and RT Nick Kaczur are healthy and did not play in the week 17 match-up. The 18 times the Giants did blitz in that match-up Tom Brady completed 16 of them. And if you don't get pressure on Brady dropping seven marginal defensive backs won't be enough. We all know what Brady can do when given time. And no front four alone, not even the Giants front four will able to get consistent pressure on Brady behind that offensive line. It's a two-edged sword that will slash the Giants repeatedly.

Thsi game will be played on turf which might actually favor the Giants who were 4-0 ATS on turf this season compared to the Patriots 6-6 ATS. It will allow for the Giants pass rush to get off the ball quicker, but that also means the speedy New England WRs will be even quicker. New York loves to rush only 4 or 5 and drop everyone else back into coverage, look for them to try and establish this which would mean less space for Brady to pass into. Given that each side has 2 weeks to prepare and also that these teams only faced 4 weeks ago I think strongly favors Belicheck and the Patriots. His schemes will be so complex for Eli to figure out that he'll go crazy. It also gives New England a chance to regroup from the late season struggles (albeit all wins) and the mistakes that were made in Week 17 that almost gave them their only loss. I'm also going to throw out there the under 54.5 (2 units) because I don't think Eli is at the stage in his career to excel in the Super Bowl. Take that and the fact that Belicheck will throw some crazy things his way means 2-3 INTs and 1 TD for the little Manning. Final score prediction is 34-20 Patriots going 18-0 and winning the Super Bowl.

THE PATRIOTS DEFENSE WAS RANKED 4TH IN TOTAL YARDS DURING THE REGULAR SEASON AND 10TH IN RUSHING YARDS.
NEW ENGLAND HAS BEATEN 7 OF THE POSSIBLE 11 OTHER PLAYOFF TEAMS THIS YEAR. THEY BEAT THE GIANTS, COWBOYS, STEELERS, COLTS, REDSKINS, JAGUARS, AND CHARGERS TWICE.
MEANWHILE, THE GIANTS PLAYED ONLY FIVE PLAYOFF TEAMS THIS SEASON. THEY WERE JUST 1-5 IN THE REGULAR SEASON (4-5 COUNTING THE PLAYOFFS). THEY PLAYED THE COWBOYS 3X (LOST TWICE), REDSKINS 2X (LOST ONE), PACKERS 2X (LOST ONE), BUCS, AND THE PATRIOTS (LOST).
THE PATRIOTS HAVE CLEARLY PLAYED THE TOUGHER SCHEDULE. THEY ARE 7-0 THIS SEASON AGAINST TEAMS WITH WINNING RECORDS (9-0 COUNTING THE PLAYOFFS).

I would like to see the G-men win, but since I am a betting man, my money is on the Pats to cover and the over. I cn't see them coming this far to lose. And the monumentally stupid Senator from PA. gave them the extra motivation to shove the NFL's and his face in it.
