Why didn't you mention that the Rays had bases loaded with 1 out and didn't score in the 1st inning or the fact that the Jays scored their 2nd run after an infield single and throwing error and their 3rd run on a throwing error by McCann trying to pick the runner off first? Those were all lucky breaks that you fail to mention.
Chaloots, hes never gonna mention those things because his head is so programmed to just talking about the bad breaks he gets.
Covers should create a new forum, called the crybaby forum and move this thread into it

You aren't cursed, you aren't unlucky - you are a moron. You put too much risk on these games and it gives you no room for error. But you wont blame yourself, your ridiculous staking, your ridiculous handicapping - you will blame some dude who hit a batter or someone who cant make a free throw.
Why blame yourself for all of your mistakes? So much easier to blame guys on TV. Your situation is your own doing. You are the idiot here. You are an amateur on vacation.
Some may call this thread a shitshow, and rightfully so. However, for some of us like myself, this thread has been an eye opening experience and a really good tutorial from more experienced....and just flat out smarter people, like yourself and a few other posters in this thread. I'm sad to see someone take such a downfall in order for so many lessons to be taught in this thread, however, I am very grateful for the many lessons that have been taught in this thread. I wish CG, and everyone else in this thread, nothing but the best in the future. I am taking away something from the lessons taught and failed to learn in this thread though.
Thank you everyone that has posted in this thread.

GL with your Padres play---I'm on the Dodgers myself.
Dodgers are a machine. Doesn't help that Andrew Cashner just walked Brandon McCarthy with the bases loaded to tie up the game. McCarthy's career batting average is .067. What a moron.
Then an error right after that to get another run.
Sit back and relax buddy.
Regroup tomorrow

Sounds like the blow has you tweaking on the fourth day of the MLB season. Better off smoking a joint and settling in for a six month grind. Just my $0.02.
Amen! Sounds like a plan. Got some good wax, and some medicinal oil, put on Vin Scully and just enjoy the game. Won't even stay up to see if I won, just check the phone in the morning.

a missed popup for the double, TWO HIT BY PITCHES, intentional walk and passed ball in no particular order
yea terrible capping.. should have capped that...
no matter how much I bet it is horrid luck to lose every close game in every sport except football
vanzack u think u would hit football at 60% if u fumbled in any key spot, or missed every big FG? that's the equivent of 80% of my losses u all follow.. if ur too lazy to watch or at least check boxscore and see how I lose then that's on you idiots
bottom line is a loss but u would think at some point even if I could lose 7 out of 10 close games and not all ten it would really help even out my figures jesus christt
heres what you arent grasping, There is no law that says the bad breaks got to even out for you, because they dont. You are under this thought process that if you lose 10 games on bad breaks, the bad break Gods have got to reward you with 10 winners. Gambling doesnt work that way. If you cant get this to sink into your head, that there is no such thing as due factor for a gambler, you are going to go bust. Its a dead on fact.

Oh no. Now the Dodgers are winning and we are going to have to hear how the Padres blew a 2 run first inning lead.
CG - you should drive down to the Westgate and go moan with all of the other degens in the smoking seats - they will all tell you their bad beats and you can tell them yours.
Then all of you can look on the ground for tickets and beg the ticket writer to buy you a sandwich at the deli.
Tourist.

Getting a person to change is like teaching a pig to sing. Not only is it impossible, but it irritates the pig.
I do often wonder what is so darn satisfying about irritating pigs.
lmfaoooooooooooo good one.
I know when he goes broke am gonna feel bad, that i didnt do more to help save him from himself. Who knows how is life could have turned out, if he had taken all that cash and did something else in life.

Might be the kindest and appreciative post on Covers I have ever read, great attitude Ktrain, take the good from the thread and let it sink in.
If CG would just open his mind to the possibility that he doesn't know everything about gambling(actually he knows very little) and would listen to the advice that Vanzack, myself and others have given him he might have had a very small chance of making it but he isn't open to advice. I will never criticize someone for the team they select, I only criticize for the type of bets made, amounts made in relations to their bankroll and not shopping the best line. Nearly impossible to win with less than 6 books available for best lines. Best lines and juice are more important than "right" team.

Its the first week of the season. Fielders are not in mid season form and will make mistakes. Runners will make stupid baserunning mistakes. Pitchers dont have their command and release points perfected quite yet and have not built up the stamina yet to take them deep into games. There are little sabermetrics available to teams for what pitches to throw, what are the cold hot zones, did this hitter lose bat speed, is this batter focusing on going the other way this year instead of being dead pull hitter, etc
Its the first week of the season expect sloppy play until May 1st.
Everything you had happen to you tonight has happened in baseball before many times.
Pedro Martinez pitched a 10 inning no hitter and lost for god sakes.

sounds like you have never bet baseball before.

It is really going to suck, when Sept rolls around and you are back at a job - and every day you have to drag yourself in to some shi t job you hate - with a douche boss you hate - you are going to think to yourself how you blew your one and only chance at this because you are too thick headed to do the right thing. Man - it is going to suck on NFL sunday betting your 200 dollar parlays and thinking "I cant believe I have to go to work tomorrow."
All preventable if you weren't such a slave to your instincts. You are a baby - you need instant gratification - if you feel bad about a losing day you have to have instant reversal of that feeling. Just another degenerate - nothing to see here.
You mean $20.00 teasers. Will never be $200.
Van you know I am a horse player and yes lots of bums at the track picking up tickets. Even in the dumpsters, very sad. They are called Stoopers.
CG go home before your next photo is a Mug Shot.

I read a book about 10 years ago called "The Odds" by Chad Millman. I read it early on in my endeavor into sports betting. It was perfect timing for me.
The anxiety of the line maker, the maniac that Alan Boston could be, and the lessons that the amateur had to learn the hard way all gave me a peek inside the real world of sports betting.
The book isn't ground breaking by any means. But the timing for me was spot on. This thread, and CG's journey remind me of that book.
I only wish you the best, CG.

Uribe singled to shallow right, Crawford to third.
Pederson walked, Uribe to second.
McCarthy walked, Crawford scored, Uribe to third, Pederson to second.
Rollins safe at first on error by first baseman Alonso, Uribe scored, Pederson to third, McCarthy to second.
Puig grounded into fielder's choice double play, third to catcher to pitcher to first, Pederson scored, McCarthy out at third, Puig out at second.
3 Runs, 2 Hits, 1 Errors
WALK the 8th hitter then the .085 career hitting pitcher then BOOT A DP that would have ended INNING
after the blow jays debacle of MISSED POPUP, PASSED BALL, HIT BY PITCH, intentional walk, ANOTHER HIT BY PITCH TO SCORE THE SECOND RUN OF INNING (first run on passed ball second on the second hit by pitch of inning) then an easy DP to pitcher BOOTED
Cashner's given up 6 hits (including 2 homers) and 3 walks in 3 innings yet you're cursed because every ground ball doesn't end up being hit right at somebody and turned into a double play. I think someone mentioned Cashner's pretty mediocre away from Petco.
