There is nothing released or confirmed yet but as I said before I trust a source that I have come across in the past and they said he will be a Baltimore Oriole. He will be at the biggest Ravens game of the year tomorrow along with the owner Peter Angelos and a physical is scheduled Monday to seal the deal.

Also Tex's father says he wants to be an Oriole.

They are giving 9-10 yrs at $20 per a season.

Also Papi no hard feelings it was all in good fun. I have nothing against the Red Sox but I do dislike the MFY.

As an Oriole fan I am very excited for the future of this franchise after 11 years of losing. A franchise with such a proud history and tradition was fading away but now the hometown kid will begin a new era of Baltimore Orioles baseball. Thank you Peter Angelos for getting this done.

Even though nothing is confirmed or announced I can confidently say this is done when mark takes the physical tomorrow. The "WOW" offer was put on the table by Angelos.

I know of a person who has connections in the FO of the Orioles. He has been saying all along that the Orioles were bringing Tex home and to not pay attention to the media. Last night I talked to him and he said Tex will be at the Steelers/Ravens game tomorrow as a guest of Peters and a physical would was set up for Monday. He said that PA made his "Wow"offer, which was needed, since every other team in the running was at around 8/160.

He told me last night Tex is an Oriole even though nothing will be reported to early next week. He said that they have moved onto looking at pitching... Sheets in particular.

I guess we will find out by game time... I doubt Orioles would want to let this information out of the bag.

Both ESPN and CSN have reported Tex will be there. While other smaller media outlets are saying otherwise.

I am optimistic with what I heard.

Its not about next year or the year after. Its about in 3 years when the core group of players will all be at the top of their game. It will be similar to the Rays this past season. Don't sleep on the O's in 3 years with Tex in a uniform.

Sparky you are right about Tex not being a guest of Angelos. Steve Bisciotti is having Tex as a guest and Angelos will also be attending.

This is a great day for Oriole fans everywhere. The franchise if finally going to take a huge step in the right direction to be coming respectable and relevant in baseball. In a few years the team will have a great young core to compete in the ultra competitive AL East.

One of my buddies who works on gameday for the Ravens said he saw Teixeira arrive but knew nothing about Angelos.

Talked to my buddy again and he said he saw him and that 3 other people he knows who work up in the box suites saw him. He never said he saw Angelos, however.

Tex was there but Pete was not.... I knew it seemed too good to be true but the Os are still in it just as much as anyone else.
