TODAY:

 

Alabama +2 (***) vs Oklahoma State.   OK ST should be embarrassed at their out of conference schedule.  SWMOST, ARK ST, FAU, and Houston (they lost this one).  This teams defense could make the worst offenses look good ranked 99!! in the country.  Ok St is 6-6, take out their shit out of conference teams and they are 3-6!!  YES 3-6 against real competition.  And they are favored in a bowl game??

 

This is tailor made for a team like bama who needs help from the other team in order to score.  Bama will score on this team.  And Bama might be the best defense OK ST has seen this year.

 

So give me the team that is playing against a defense that has surrendered an average of 31 points over its last 9 games any day, and then give me points and I say “thank you”.

 

Yes I know there are coaching issues at bama.  But Im going to take a chance that they will have a gameplan to tear apart a swiss cheese defense.  I think they could win by accident.

 

Rutgers -7 (**) vs Kansas State.  Mismatch here.  Im a little concerned about the one dimesional Rutgers offense but bowl games are different.  They have a month to prepare. 

 

Im not sure how Kansas State is going to score in this one.  I have examined every angle and I just don’t see them putting up points.  Their offense is non-threatening, their defense average – and they play in a conference that is inferior to the Big East.

 

You can bet that Rutgers will be up for this game and play for Schiano and play the whole game out.

Fuck all those idiots that have bashed in the past.  i dont post much but follow a lot.   i notice it more and more on every forum on this site, kids that bet $10 a game and curse you becasue they cant do the work themselves and have to blame someone.  Fuck'em...  keep up the good work  cant wait to see more plays this weekend.

Stayed in Sonoma at the Sonoma Mission Inn in August this year. Very nice large rooms, pools, etc...  I will say don't go to eat at "The French Laundry" a "world class" restr.  We made reservations 6 months in advance to get in. Table for 4 tab was 1,500.00 and I don't mind the costs if the food was good which it was ok. However, they "RAPE" you on the wine prices.  I.E. Silver Oak Alexander Valley 2002 285.00  Give me a break

I would highly recommend the Martini House in Sonoma just 15-20 min from Napa.

we booked the Embassy Suites in Napa..........got a killer deal on priceline for it and it meets our requirments.........we are not interested in a bed and breakfast or cottage type place and although we would have preferred the yountville location or silverado trail, this is fine since it is close to Carneros and close enough to zip up to sonoma for a day since we are there for 4 days total...........plan on eating at Coles Chophouse one night for sure.........Rutherford Grille another night.........and not sure on the others..........

Great win yesterday.  So far this is one hell of a good bowl season (finically speaking).  I’m with you again today.  I got Bama +3 and Rutgers -7.

 

But today’s games are just appetizers for Friday’s Houston/South Carolina match up.  The more I research it, the more I like the Gamecock’s chances.  Yesterday I found out that Tyrone Nix (the Defensive Coordinator at South Carolina) use to be the Defensive Coordinator at Southern Miss and before that he was an assistant coach there.  In all his years at Southern Miss they were 6-1 against Houston and in his years as the Defensive Coordinator (2001-2004) they were 3-0 against them.  In those three wins the Golden Eagles gave up an average of 17 ppg (not great, but pretty good for Conference USA).  This is not a major reason why people should go with the Gamecocks, but it does contribute to the already long list of why you and I think South Carolina is one of the best bets of this bowl season.

I dont like the Cal game unless it goes down to a PKEM and then I will bet on Cal.  I wont be laying 3 though.  I would lean towards Cal but its a not bet for me personally.

 

LUCKYTHIRTEEN - i see you mentioned Priceline.   I dont know if you know of this or not, but this site is an excellent companion for using priceline.   You can see the priceline hotels in every city at every star level, and see how much you should bid in order to win your hotel.  I use it all the time.
