WTA Wimbledon Futures

Potapova at 200-1

 If you look hard enough, you can find Potapova at 200-1  to win Wimbledon.

Potapova is a former Wimbledon junior champion who will be seeded.   She just beat Gauff twice in row and Gauff is 12-1 to win Wimbledon. In her last two matches vs Pegula, Potapova has lost three setters...7-5 in the 3rd then 7-6 in the third. Pegula is 20-1 to win Wimbleodn.

If Potapova wins a round or two, you can hedge your bet 

and get your initial investment back.  The line was 200-1 when it wasn't certain she would be allowed to play Wimbledon because she is Russian.

Some books have adjusted her to 40-1.  Others have left her at 200-1.  Worth a shot at the mispricing.

 I think u to early. It could happen next year though. I think Poty needs this last year till she does a breakthrough because she Isn't strong enough yet. But, she has the capabilities. And Grauff means spade in my country, she isn't the next Serena Williams.

Ok...it has been a couple of months since I placed my Potapova Wimbledon futures bet. $100 to win $20,000.  

The idea was to take advantage of what I saw as a line that was a bit out of whack.  I still feel that way.

The draw has come out favorable with Naef in the first round and Jovan or Betova in the second.  

I will let it ride in the first two rounds and then start hedging. I have a big cushion to play with if she can just

get through the first two rounds.

The big question....how serious is her shoulder injury that forced her to withdraw from Eastbourne???

I decided to wait until after first set to hedge my Potapova future.  I'll tale Mirra Andreeva to win the match risking $285 to win my initial $100 investment back.

Mirra will win multiple grand slams!!  And she just recently turned 16.  She is 25-3 in her last 28 matches at all levels.

16 year old looking sharp
