Puetuz/Venus, Bouzkova M/Hradecka, Ram/Sailsbury | 1.78 | 10 units
There is a massive difference in the doubles in Grand Slams, no random 3rd set TB and no deciding points at 40-40 so there are not as many upsets that we normally see in doubles.
There is also a bigger gap between the top 20 and the rest of the top 100 that we don't see in the singles, a lot of pairs in grand slams has never played together and does not normally play doubles. They just need to fill the field with these players, so it's really a gift if you compare the odds to for example the woman singles where everyone in the top 100 can beat anyone on a good day.

I think Stosur and Ebden will win the mixed double, they lost the final here last year.
Why did I play Qureshi, wouldn't even back him in a challenger game normally, that's what winning streaks do to you, you lose the sense of reason.

The odds dropped a lot in this game, got it at 1.90 at Betfair when the odds first came out, was down to 1.50 before start. Lot of people backing Kyrigos here in AO. I think this game was a 50/50 and they where quite lucky they won. They are now favourites against Puetz/Venus..
Puetz/Venus got a bye yesterday so they will be rested and is the much better pair.

Bjorn_Borg................... great work during the early rounds of the AO up to the quarters. Smart of you to take your winnings and bide your time until the French open starts. Yeah, I have learned the hard way, was up £8k first week of US Open, just to give most of it back the second week and don't get me started on lower points tournaments.
This time I booked a ski trip in March and a weekend in Paris for Easter with my girlfriend instead :)
I will be back in March for Indian Wells and Miami 1000.
My thoughts of the rest of AO.
Women's singles: Keys - Iga in the final
Men's singles: Medvedev - Nadal in the final
Women's double: Mertens will defend her title from last year.
Men's Double: Ram R. / Salisbury J. to win
Mixed double: Zhang S. / Peers J.
