Russia and Belarus players banned from Wimbledon

 This might be the final straw for me to quit following this sport from a betting perspective altogether,,,might be a blessing in disguise for me as my overall tennis capping sucks in 2022 since the Aussie Open.

What a Despicable decision by UK Tennis.

Despicable. I guess we should just through them all in camps too... Pretty sad that something like this happens today. I wouldn't be surprised to see this get reversed.

What has Sabalenka ever done to deserve this? Rublev? Medvedev? All their other comrades who have dedicated their lives to this sport and profession?

I won't pretend to know these athletes political views, but they are just regular people no different than you or me who are trying to make a living at their chosen occupation. 

The only reason Ovechkin received a lot of bad press in recent times, is because he's been a vocal and active Putin supporter...but still, so what? He's a professional hockey player, not a politician making decisions to kill innocent people.

I don't know what's the right thing to do or think about this Russia Ukraine war, but this decision to ban Russian and Belarusian tennis players will be a forever black mark on Wimbledon, UK, and the tennis sport overall.

This is todays WORLD , funny not saying todays America who would likely make a decision like this. If anything make them not represent their country similar to what the Olympics did with Russia. Totally unfair to these players who have nothing to do with the war. Politics and sports should never intervene, it’s basically a double standard by not allowing these guys to play

Khachanov, Karatsev, Ivashka, Gerasimov (would have at least had a chance thru the Quallies)...denied huge financial opportunities with a few wins at a Major.
