Did you take into account that this match is being played in France and Monfils is a emotional player and will have the crowd in a frenzy?

Monfils wins.

He was spectacular at many stages of this match.

I just dont think its very smart betting against this guy when he's got a rabid home crowd behind him. He can get a crowd jumping like no other in the sport.

Might add a micro play to Stepanek later, but man is his form bad recently. If it were anyone else in the top 50 Novak was playing I would bet the dog because he is in a huge letdown spot and should be very gassed emotionally and physically.

Very true. I obviously thought Nalbandian being undefeated in Davis Cup meant that he could play great for his country on the road and that it being an indoor hardcourt meant he would be at a skillset advantage that outweighed the emotional one. I was wrong. Again.

Monfils also looked insanely bad to me his last match and I thought there would be carryover. Looks like Nalbandian had the carryover from his shit match instead...

I really have lost a lot of respect for Nalbandian lately. I was thinking he was top 5 material for awhile there, which obviously was another of my wild talent overestimations. That is my problem DelPo, not getting sentimental, but being a great optimist when I think I ID awesome talent, specifically offensive tennis talent.

Seems like everytime Nalbandian plays a player worth a damn now he gets beaten soundly. Verdasco and Monfils are people I thought he should definitely beat in the two most important events in tennis.... I think Nalbandian's lack of current fire makes these guys look good. Verdasco looked like a top 3 player vs Nalbandian....

I think Murray broke his spirit completely. I think that was the turning point and now the guy is nothing. He is playing like someone ranked 20-30 right now and maybe that is where this guy belongs. No fire.

No way. I missed my monster play on Goerges but had a pretty good week apart from that, and then this which was really a hurter based on a Nalbandian bet that most other gamblers fell for just like me. Monfils is great at home but this was nonetheless a lesson about Nalbandian IMO. I am still up on the year betting his matches by quite a bit and now is the time to stop.

I cannot quit this week with my main bet alive, Groth to take her tournament. But until the end of this week I now refuse to bet anything else, even Marino +145 which looks good tonight. No more BS, just my favorite bet and the rest is not worth the effort since I am not picking well right now.

and Maybe I should not have bet Davis Cup with never having seen a Davis Cup match before., I just woke up in time to see the end of the Tips match and that crowd was fantastic! I will have to give that way more weight and I hope to do better next time, also will enjoy watching Davis Cup the rest of the season, very good atmosphere and nice to see the crowd partial.

I give credit to Tipps he makes some insane shots every match he plays.  But birdman has really lost his form ever since the grass season just straight down hill.  I really hate those Serbs tennis is all they seem to have to cheer for over there.  Tipps has laser focus and so much desire to win every point.  Birdman looked very pedestrian today very disappointed with his service.  But Tipps is the type of player that frustrates his opponents returning balls that look to be winners

I was feeling Steps in this one (hard to see him losing three straight to a guy he used to own, Troicki should be the one for him to finally get better against at some point, etc) so it sucked not getting the line, would have offset the rest. I bet Troicki the last two times but it is so hard to beat someone three times in a row. congrats on dodging the bullet Mike! If only they had not offered Nalbandian and Berdych lines as well!
