hello fellas

this is my favorite sport to play, to bet on, and to watch...nfl is a close second...for people that know me, i often watch the early rounds, get a read on form and start laying larger bets at the back end of tournaments...this will be no different...i will be flying to new york thursday night, will be going to the open friday, sunday and monday...saturday i am going to do atlantic city and the evenings i will probably be out in the city...will try to catch as much tennis as i can...i also trade tennis but these bets can't be posted...enjoy the tennis

ya, it was fixed...this from lucash, who knows his tennis:

he is a fixer - that's all you need to know

ferrer got pounded big time on betfair.
on all the matches that need to start there are on average 60k matched, on that one weirdly there are 400k, and all on ferrer

i wonder how many k are dolgopolov's...
disgrace to tennis, fixing a grand slam match

tipsarevic played very well, well deserved...roddick doesn't know how to finish a point and it cost him last night... petzchner has a very small chance (he did take rafa 5 at wimbledon)...i will play him on the handicap +6.5 as well as take a stab on the moneyline...

leans today are: Polansky +150 vs Blake (should be a pk)
Schwank even vs Clement (tough to follow up a big win)
Dodig +6.5 games vs De Bakker (dodig could win outright)
Berankis +200 vs Melzer (i hear berankis has a bright future)

the above plays are from onthepunt...the guy is a terrible capper but i agree with him somewhat today

flying down this afternoon...got tickets for tomorrow but the storm is supposed to wipe out the action...will go to the yankee game saturday afternoon but will be at the open sunday and monday so should have a good read on the 2nd week...i will try to post when i can from my phone...cheers fellas and enjoy the long weekend

4th round monday and tuesday...was at the wawrinka/murray match on armstrong today, great atmosphere...saw harrison/stakhovsky at grandstand on friday, that was another energized crows..saw nadal in a box at ashe today...some of the balls he hits are amazing, wasn't a competitive match though...was at the yankee/jays game yesterday, then went out in east village

think Fish stands a great shot at beating Djokovic...surprised at the odds..going to trade gasquet/monfils....soderling and fed should roll tomorrow

tuesday quarters verdasco/ferrer, querrey/wawrinka, nadal/lopez, robredo/youzhny...looking like a good chance that fed and nadal play in north america for the third time only on sunday

this has been the worst us open for me gambling wise in recent memory...but quarters start today and there is still time

i was flying back last night and missed the ferrer/verdasco match....i probably missed the best match of the tournament and there was a lot of money missed in trading there

quarters today....djokovic played a heck of a match vs fish and monfils played well vs gasquet...djokovic is 4-0 vs monfils but i think monfils has a great chance this match...the odds should be much closer

fed is playing some very good tennis, moving like the old days and hitting his backhand again..however, he is still making too many errors and the line should be a lot closer...he should still take out sod as he will exploit sod's movement but i will take a stab at both dogs today

i will be on vera in the final at +200...clisters was +150 after losing the first set

mens semis today:

i think nadal wins this tournament...the reason being he is going to whip youzhny early on....then fed/joker is going to be a long match...nadal with more rest wins tomorrow imo...although fed is playing very well, this is the best i have seen joker in quite some time

good hit kappykane, cheers man...glad to hear bc is going well flutiemaniac, cheers buddy...finally a good day yesterday....it was a great match between fed and djokovic...back and forth they went trading blows, some of the exchanges were unreal..fed made some errors, he couldn't put a first serve in the court but he also hit some ridiculous winners...djokovic was getting to everything that fed threw at him, and he played 2 amazing points when he was match points down, the first a dropshot-pass combo, and the second an absolute bomb of a forehand

now to today's final:

only in the open do they play back to back days with semis and final...the question is will joker be able to come back and play the same tennis for another 4 and a half hours...because if he can, he has a shot here...nadal is fresh as a daisy, rafa will stay out there, he will make a lot less errors than fed but also hit less winners...some of the points in today's match will be on joker's racquet, it will be him deciding the point...showers are called for intermittently all day today so there may be some starts and stops...i think nadal wins this match to complete the career slam and get the last 3 majors and go for the rafa slam in australia...i will play some joker +250 because i have rafa at even money to win the tournament...i wouldn't recommend any plays for today's final, may be good to trade...enjoy the final and the first sunday of nfl

even though joker has won the last 3 they have played (all on hards), rafa is hitting the ball very well...rafa is too fast, too strong mentally and physically...

my prediction is rafa in 4

ya flutiemaniac, completely agree..djokovic stands a great chance now that he has had a day to recover from the fed match....i got a +5.5 games bet, but the +5 games or even the +4.5 games should be a winner no problem...this is going to be a great match that can go either way
