Units wagered the key to success?

I have had a rediculously great year gambling online. Some great bounces, some easy winners, and at the end of the day some good money to pay for my honeymoon.

 

Some of the games I have hit and some that I have lost are documented all over this site.  I have no reason to lie about any of these numbers.  I just found them so shocking that I wanted to share parts of the information about them and see what thoughts if any people had.

 

I have wagered on 155 Games in 2008 (NFL, College Football, NBA, College Basketball, and MLB).

 

 

A few big factors I discovered:

 

1) 21 of those 76 losses came on parlays/teasers where I tended to bet far less in units (between $5-$50).

 

2) I had a tendency to bet smaller units on more games on a given day (say $110-220 on 4 games on a given NBA night) or bet larger units on 1 game (say $880 on 1 MLB game that I like particularly).

 

In games where I wagered at least $500, my record was 36-25-1.

 

This is either an incredibly lucky streak, which is completely possible, or it tells me something far more.  When I do research (on sites like this one) and only bet 1 single game that intrigues me, I have a higher success rate than if i do a more general approach and bet a few games for entertainment purposes. Again, maybe I am trying to give credit to myself and others here when in fact the ball finally bounced my way after many bad beats.
