Rating the Rankers

Question

I have collected a number of popular NBA Power Ranking sources. e.g. USA Today/Sagarin, Hollinger, Yahoo Sports, StatsFox, NBATips etc.

I'm looking for a source that has rated/ranked these sources. How accurate are their predictions? Which ones have demonstrated better results?

My own analysis has just begun by taking their predictions and comparing them to the actual game totals. This can be done on a daily basis, but back-testing isn't easy without historical data. The PowerRankings seem to be only available for a day or so.

Any thoughts or ideas that may help get my head around this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Try this site: https://www.thepredictiontracker.com/.

They track Sagarin and StatFox, plus a whole lot more, for football and basketball. You find that most everyone has been just plain awful in basketball this season.
