Online Handicappers a scam?

Question

Does anyone buy picks from the more official-looking online handicapping sites like Precision Picks or Sports Investor Central?  I&#x27;ve been tracking then for several weeks and I can&#x27;t find a flaw in the system.  Then I bought some picks and of course didn&#x27;t do as well as their posted percentages.  What am I missing?

how long did you give them a try? you may have caught them on a cold streak.

Hey Bart thanks for the reply.  I bet:Precision Picks: 168 picks  (about 48% wins)Sports Investor Central: 107 picks  (about 52% wins)I want to believe.  But my betting friends are VERY suspicious of what might go on in the fifteen minutes between when the game starts and when they release their picks.  (At least the picks no one buys.)  Also a few times they have switched the odds so a huge favorite seems to be logged at big underdog odds.  This makes my friends very suspicious too.Can you shed any wisdom on whether I should keep going?  Do you know anyone who has used them?

never pay for picks. I payed for a few systems but they came with very decent filters. this guy that I bought systems from a long time ago seemed to be doing better back then selling systems than he's doing now witch is just giving picks. went a whole year with him only to end up 2 units ahead in nba and not much more than that by the end of baseball.

I'm following crushers plays for free. he has a 4 game chase and seems to be the best handicapper I found as far as free picks go. this is a service I would consider paying for if someone wasn't already posting their picks for free and had a bigger bankroll.

My friend bought from SIC for a couple of months after monitoring them for awhile. They had "their worst losing streak in years" after he began buying picks. Someone told me that the sites will change their previous years picks to winners to help boost their long-term results. Changing results from the previous months is too obvious, but most people won't monitor them for too long before purchasing.

Thanks Kaba! That was my suspicion too.

My friend and I also figured that they might be able to fudge picks that no one buys and wait until 15-20 min into the game to release them to the non-buying public, thus gaining a little bit of edge by seeing who scored first, etc.

Also we caught them switching odds on some games, so the pick could be for the favorite but the payout was for the dog.

So SIC is a scam.

I'm still tracking -- and hoping for -- Precision Picks.

I think tony crosses cfl program is worth buying. he sends picks in email and has had very few losses in the last five years. it&#x27;s a 3 game chase.

i&#x27;m pretty sure I bought from him the same year. he took a huge dive down about 2/3 of my bankroll was destroyed but the his plays turned around and pretty much ended up even.

im talking from personal experience man, don't buy anymore picks from any of those sites. i lost alotta money back in 2008 from oddsboard, teddy vintage, etc. the sites look very nice and the records really sucked me in.

the minute i started buy their picks, they all went 50%. i really feel foolish for falling for it to this day.

live & learn i guess but my ego took a big hit and its really humbled me.
