NHL Early Season System

The System plays on teams who had an above .500 win % in away games the previous year.

Max: 2 game play per team and all bets are flat.

Since the away team is usually an underdog, this system  feeds on the probability that the team can win at least 1 of their first 2 away games.

Last 2 years for the system:

2009 - +6 units (+8 units on first game / -2 units on 2nd)

2010 - +8 uints (+1.5 units on first game / +6.5 units on 2nd)

Any thoughts on this system or ways to improve it would be appreciated.

I have an excel speadsheet for this, but I don't know how to post it in this forum.

I am interested in doing something for the NHL and would be willing to look into this further. As far as the spreadsheet goes, you can add that to google docs and post the link if you have interest inn sharing.

Are you playing the 2nd game only if the 1st game loses? Were the Units calculated using 1 units bets? Do you have any info on the record?

RPI prob won't be available to use as a filter, but I would guess that if you limited this to games against non-playoff teams from prior year or something to that affect then you would see the win% increase.

That's exactly what I was thinking too,a two game chase but need to add some filters.
Why won't the RPI be available Frank?

I am playing the 2nd game only if the first game results in a loss.

1 unit bets on each game (bet on 2nd only if first losses).

Will continue to try and use more filters, but it is time consuming.
