NFL Favorites - Chase System

Question

For years I have been more of an underdog guy. My MO was to find 2 dogs each week that I thought could win outright and parlay them together on a ML ticket. Paid well when I hit but so often I would hit only 1 of the 2 and lose.

Anyway, I'm thinking about trying a totally new strategy this season and wanted to get some feedback and see if anyone else has had success with a system similar to this....

I am going to chase favorites, doubling up after loses until I win.

Rule #1- I will only back playoff caliber teams and/or bet against the 4-5 worst teams and most always play the match-ups that include both like the PHI/JAC game week 1.

Rule #2- I will only make one play at a time/game start time.

Rule #3- I will always buy down the .5 point when the spread is 14, 10, 7 or 6.

For example I am targeting for week 1 of the NFL...

Sea -5 on Thur night, then Phi- 10 at 1pm Sun, then SF -4 at 4pm Sun and finally Den -7 on Sun night. ( No play for Mon night because I don't feel NYG, Det, Arz or SD are playoff caliber teams nor are any of them playing bottom feeders).

Sea on Thur night will be for 1.5 units, if I hit great then the next game (1pm Sun) will also be for 1.5 units but if I lose, then I wager 3 units, if I lose again I will wager 6 units on Sun 4 pm game...ect. I will keep doubling up (plus the juice) until I have a win and then start back over with 1.5 units.

I feel strongly the most games I will ever lose in a row will be 3 or 4 if a losing streak goes to 5 games I can still handle it but my 6th bet would be 48% of my bank roll after that I'm in serious trouble and couldn't keep chasing.

Does anyone have experience with a system like this? any positive and or insightful thoughts are appreciated.

I&#x27;ve tried something similar but I used a rule that the favorite had to be at home..I also had a rule about defense was more important than offense...Easy to cover a spread if your D is shutting teams out.&#xD;&#xA;It worked pretty well, but this was back when I had real bad money management..You&#x27;re talking about waiting a month to make 1 unit if you lose 3 in a row, which I did, and I&#x27;d fuk the money up and not have enough to cover a 4th bet.&#xD;&#xA;I like the idea of Seattle, can score some points and a good defense.
