Need advice about this NCAAB pool...

after the brackets are finalized...
I have to pick 8 teams.

Each time one of my teams wins, I get points equal to that teams seed#...

If a #12 seed wins, I get 12 points.
If  a #1 seed wins I get 1 point.....etc

I've never been in one of these ...

Any strategy advice ?
