When you look at Covers MLB 'trends' and it says dogs are hitting at 60% against the spread, what exactly does that mean? Run line wins?

Same with hockey ats...Puck line wins?

An even more dumb question.....Assuming it's run line..Did the dog cover the run line bet or is the fav now considered the dog because it's a +money bet?

I just assume that when it's the dog who wins ATS it is a +1.5 bet
And when it says favorite ATS win it is a -1.5 bet
with NHL off course
