do chasers work for sportsbooks?

I remember seeing this thread frank, I thought it would get some kind of comment as well.
Back then, I was merely a newbie on the forums here for less than 2 months, so I really didn't have any experience on the subject to make a good comment.
Now, as an almost 4 month veteran of this forum, I can comfortably say.. ah, hell, yeah I couldn't get through that sentence without laughing out loud, HaHa

Like it says, I am only a 4 month NEWBIE still on this forum, so I really still don't have much experience to make a good comment on your statement. I have heard that before, that Chasers will always end up broke in the end. Hell, I still hear it everyday..

I always believed if the Chase was done smartly, then there was, indeed, a way to make it work. With the proper Systems and Bankroll Management I feel I can make anything I want work. The hardest part is sticking to the game plan.

I think the majority of Amateurs blindly enter into a Chase program not really understanding what they are doing, and because of this ultimately go broke. They lack patience and become frustrasted. And, well, this is obviously what fuels the Gambling community.. the Amateur with more money than brains.


Maybe this'll help get a few comments here? I'd be interested, as I know frank would too, in hearing some others thoughts

People wagering a high percantage of thier bankroll on games, then tapping out quickly.  Instead of doing between 1.5%-2.5% of thier bankroll. Then they make another deposit and and do the same thing all over again. Time after time.

Poor money management just kills most.

I don't think all are just trying to drum up business, but you can tell who is and who are not.  Such as Toms people and Sportsnetwork seem to just do it for the challenge.  Well Sportsnetwork actually isn't chasing, he is using some detailed stats which, BTW I really like what he is doing.

But anyway, the ones that send you e-mails about hundreds of dollars for systems.  Yeah, those are the ones that will have the comission networks and such.   Guys like PSIC has chase systems that are paid, but he is more of a come to me type of guy. 

But bottom line, books love chase systems.  In fact they love all type of system players.  Because 99.9% of people don't have the will power to be in for the long haul.

So.. if someone does have the will power and MM skills the chase would work?

 

I think this is a wise post, chasing does work, but with the random way of things you will run through a streak of 2-3 losses in a row. After that your bankroll gets wiped out, due to the great amount of units risked.

Take for example Jm last year in  MLB it lost like 3 games in a row.

Now he claims that he tested this and can go 500 games without a lose?.

The thing being with risking 20 units per chase 3 losses wipes out 60% of your bankroll.

I really dont know about when the looses will come, but I dont think anyone could afford  loose more than 3
