originally posted in the MLB forum but it quickly got moved to the bottom as everyone is searching for picks....

I am looking for a results database to check on something that I have been doing lately.

Here it goes, I have played every play Run line or alternate run line (even picks and dogs, I never play any fave greater than -150). It has been doing well of late, but I want to see how it has done over the last 3 years. With 2400 games a years I am still calculating a good sample size for now I just want to see how this will have played out over the last 3 seasons ceratinly 7200 will not be the desired sample in the end.

I noticed that all my favorite plays were either winning by 2 or more or losing outright, as were my dog plays. occasionally I have been bitten by this (thanks blowjays on saturday) but for the most part I have reduced my losses and seen a better ROI on my wins.

Any sites you know of let me know.

You can use some online sports databases - like killerpsorts.com or sportsdatabase.com

if you use killerpsorts.com - the results are below - but not sure if I understand what you are betting.

-150 < t:line and 0 >= t:line and season >= 2009

2009 to date - RL: 2277-3340 (-0.9 rpg) average line: +143 / -156 on / against: -$16,289 / -$10,946 ROI: -2.7% / -1.2%

if you BET EVERY run line greater then -150 and up to even and they must be a favorite.

2009 to date - RL: 1891-2974 (-1.0 rpg) average line: +152 / -165 on / against: -$14,877 / -$8,530 ROI: -3.0% / -1.1%

Unfortunately a bit fat loser 2009 to date - may be profitable in a short run - or an individual season, but without additional filters - looks like a loser.

If you know you're way around VBA - it can be tweaked to pull in past seasons - right now it's set up to pull in 2012 data.
