Hey guys, I read the rules from the 2013 spreadsheet but I still don't understand how this works.

From what I understood, you have to wait for a streak of 3 or more to happen. Once the streak stops, you wait 2 games. Then you begin a 4 game chase to make the streak re-happen... However, from the past plays, I can see that this is not the case and some other filter is used. Are the streaks only considered on the road/home strictly?

Can someone elaborate? Thanks.

This is the 5 run chase.  It has nothing to do with streaks.  A team enters a chase by winning by 5 or more runs and having a winning % of .470 or less at the time they win by 5 or more runs.  Skip 2 games (unless they win by 5 or more again).  After waiting for 2 games in a row that they do not win by 5 or more, you bet AGAINST them, up to 4 games.
