Why do you need 25 straight wins instead of 21 to win $100K?

Some guy won 21 straight to win $100K about 3 years ago. As of right now, you need to win 25 straight to win $100K.  Why did Covers made it tougher to win the $100K?   Anyone that wins 21 straight is a great player in my book and should be awarded accordingly,

It is their contest so........but i believe you get 25k for 21

Tuppy, You won the $100k in 2007, correct? How long did it take for you to get the money, and did you file it under your tax return at the end of the year/ what was the result with that and having to pay tax on that $ .. Let me know, Thanks

He was in Canada. He wouldnt have had to pay taxes on it...That's y Canada is the best country

No taxes and i received the money within 4 weeks...probably sooner but i cant remember

Aren't you suppose to pay taxes on any gambling winnings $10,000 or more? Well I know that's how it is at the casino's,right? Tuppy, You were in Canada, but now live in Japan? That is a big transition.

In Canada we dont pay taxes on these winnings...and yes it has been a difficult adjustment at times.

Not at the moment  since i am NOT a resident of Canada or the usa...but i did win the monthly contest awhile back  and unfortunately the guy in second did not end up with the prize that i was ineligible for.
