Exactly, it's all about control and striking when it counts.  Defense plays a huge role which is why a ton of unders are hitting.

Go ahead sucker, keep beting  those unders when they go up to horrilbe chalk prices. I love gambling stories, they always start "I was up four thousand dollars, next thing you know I was blowing a guy for a sandwich."

yes, IF you had 2.5 you would be, but close to what NJ was talking about, I could say "Every -200 fav is undefeated" England was under it

...just taking the under blindly.  Soccer is such a difficult game to understand.

The O/U for North Korea/Brazil is 3.  I think I'll take...  wait for it.......... UNDER!!

I too am blindly playing and parlaying shit, and hitting big.  I may have to add Soccer to the "Degenerate Sports to bet when no good sports are on".  This is easy money.

Yup, so even if it was -200, I'm 14-1-1 right now.  If I bet $100/game, that puts me up $600.  Not a bad return.  And most of these unders come in around -130/-140 (like the second game today) which puts my winnings for $100 bets well over $1000

I think Switzerland had a total of four shots on goal.  And still won!!Admit it, this is just a dumb-ass sport.  But I'll keep taking the cash.

Oh well, the books have finally caught on.  Next under is -240.  Most of the ones after that are in the 200's.  Return is not worth the risk at that cost.  And if there one thing I've learned as a long-time sports bettor, it's when to walk away.  At least I've made a nice little nest egg to start the REAL football season.  Enjoy the rest of the WC.
