Paraguay vs. Japan
I think I might be on the Japan bus now. They have played excellently, are amazing on set pieces, and Honda has been outstanding in the field. Paraguay have played well and been a tough nut to break, and oh by the way no Asian team has ever beat a South American team at the World Cup. I think Japan may change all this--or more appropriately, I think the chances of Japan changing all of this and/or drawing in full time are really, really good.

Spain vs. Portugal
The Iberian Clash will feature two very good teams that have not been at their absolute best thorughout the tournament but deserved enough for this game--Portugal has been tough defensively and fought a disinterested Brazil to a draw, and Spain--after blaming the first game on a reporter--responded decently and trounced a Chilean team that had been quite good up until that point. I think this game will be very tough, and very contested, and there may be only a few opportunities to score I think both sides will do it at least once. And I think Portugal is in a better position to advance, despite the accumulated yellow cards. Something will give here.
