wife was prepping the wedge salad last night , her dad came over to drop his dog off , returned 10 minutes later , he got lost , couldn't find the way to the casino nor remembered how to use the navi 

was hard to convince him to eat with us , he finally did 

we have reached a new stage i am afraid

Flat chicken in the oven, just a herb&spice rub, roasted garlic taters, mixed greens salad with mandarins and buffalo mozzarella, little short on wine so hoping a cotes du rhone will work...

 My mother-in-law has had dementia for over 5 yrs now, constant calls, can't remember her own kids most of the time, has no clue about anything that happened 30 mins ago. She was a real bitch before she lost her marbles so I have zero sympathy and often fantasize about taking a pillow over there...

Had Couscous, Zucchinis , Chickpeas with Merguez  

he is 88 , a very strong man , sharp brain , everything changed with his open heart surgery 15 months ago , the man was so strong , had a heart attack in Mexico and stayed there 3 days more , no doctor ,  , made it home , the next day chest pain and breathing troubles , we brought him straight to the hospital, he only survived bc his heart is so strong end still pumped enough blood. 

surgery went well , no pain , as i said a strong motherfucker , back on his feet within 3 weeks , no rehab or anything 

but since then a rapid decline 

the loss of his wife ...he only ate her homemade food for 55 years , now living alone in a big house ... 

my niece and her fiancé just bought a house in Marina del Ray with a huge back house , i hope he takes the offer to move in there , she is a lawyer and works mostly from home

 That's tough, but it happens to most of us eventually. I remember telling you not to go to Mexico, must be same trip then. Hope it works out, old age blows ass.
