I understand where you are coming from by picking Argentina to win it all yet I can`t forget the way Brazil dismantled them in their must win game in Buenos Aires just few months ago.
Imo,I can`t see Brazil losing a game in this tournament(even to the Mighty Oranje),we shall see...

Listen to what Van is saying. He likes the pick but not in love with it. Uruguay should win but betting BIG on such a hot and cold team can get you in trouble. I haven't played on it. My gut says Korea but I hope Uruguay do it.

Just clarification for my ignorance,
Uruguay -.5 translates into they must win in regulation plus the few minutes additional.
USA to advance means they win in Regulation, Overtime, or PK.
And in this instance re Uruguay, -.5 is effectively the same thing as a PK or a ML play ??

Correct EXCEPT that there is a difference between PK and ML plays. With a draw you push your PK play, but lose a ML play. -0.5 means they must win in regulation (+stoppage time). Hope this helps.

Thanks for a fair warning Mack. i knew that. i am UP a few from other sports and i trusted my instinct (and OF COURSE, Van's pick) in putting in something big for the Uruguay game--- and though Van said that it's for the minimum i felt he was on to something here...
And URU did win!!

Thanks RedDust. I realized soon after I posted it that it's just like you said. I must have been confused over the different bettin options in the knockout stage.
