The Gunners have been in top form this month, also not conceding a premier league match since november. A 17 match unbeaten run has seen them return to the top 4 of the English table. This takes considerable pressure of the team, allowing them to focus on the UCL and FA cup. The battle to next years champions league seems relatively secure and Arsenal should be fully prepared for todays match. In the last week, Arsenal's lineup has received what can be described as dagger to Villareal's heart. Fabregas, Walcott, Nasri and Adebayor have returned to the lineup. Nasri out with the flu has been strong throughout the season, while this weekend Fabregas and Adebayor beat City into the ground in their first game back. Everyone knows Walcott is a menace and does not need to be discussed.
Villareal currently sit in 4th in the Spanish table. Last weekend's matchup against Almeria really paints a picture of disaster for Villareal's hopes of winning today. Almeria, a relatively weak bottom half team, slapped Villareal up and down the field. Out-possessing, out-shooting and out-playing Villareal in a 3-0 blowout match. To add injury to insult, Santi Cazorla, arguably the best player for Villareal, broke his leg and will be out for the rest of the season.
Villareal 0 - 2 Arsenal
COME ON YOU GUNNERSSSSSS!

FC Porto has made it to the quarterfinals after knocking out Atletico Madrid. This would normally sound like a great result, if not for the fact that Atletico Madrid would have been beaten by Fulham. Atletico Madrid was in terrible form and Porto won on away goals. Its not to say that Porto is terrible, but they are truly outmatched. The critics can say 2004 Porto beat Manchester, but its not happening again.
Manchester United found a little spark last weekend in a late comeback winner against Aston Villa. Facing a 3-game losing run in the Premier League, ManU pulled 2 goals in the last 10 minutes to win in an instant premier league classic and resume their role as league leaders.
Ferguson is definately going to be prepared and heated for this matchup after his loss to Mourinho in 2004. Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez should be a nightmare for Porto. Berbatov will be out, but those three should compensate. Old Trafford is a fortress and if Porto keep this match remotely close it would be a small victory to take back to the Dragao.

ONE HOUR! Yesterday's results left me completely baffled. Both games were excellent to watch, with both away teams walking away with very large advantages. Adebayor with a bicycle kick of sorts and marcos senna with a ripped 30meter shot. FC Porto with a huge 2 away goal lead on Manchester at OLD TRAFFORD! One can only hope that today's matchups bring the same excitement.
Liverpool 1 - 1 Chelsea:
I would like to give Chelski the advantage here, but the match being played at Anfield tips the scales a little. Liverpool have been in great form as of late, thumping Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Aston Villa. Continuing in winning form, last weekend Liverpool delivered a 1-0 result to Fulham at Craven Cottage, which has been an absolute fortress this year. Liverpool's last meeting with Chelsea was at Anfield and it saw the Reds walk away with a 2-0 victory over the Blues. However, Guus Hiddink has taken over since and has not last a match with the club.
Chelsea are always offensively threatening, and defensively variable. The majority of matches for Chelsea have been displays of offensive dominance or defensive disasters. Losses to Liverpool, Manchester United, AS Roma, and Liverpool earlier in the year have a simple explanation. Chelsea wins nearly every match against teams they should beat. However, they have struggled against the better squads. Chelsea really has to prove themselves today or they will see a 3-game losing streak against the Reds. I feel that Chelsea will be coming full on for 90 minutes. They have the better squad and more goal scoring potential, but have underplayed against Liverpool up to this point.
The match will certainly not be goalless, but it will be close. Two of the best goalies in the world will help keep it close, and the english midfielders, Lampard and Gerrard, will certainly play their parts.
Liverpool 1 - 1 Chelsea.

Barcelona: Here's what Barcelona is facing. They have never defeated Bayern in the Champions League. Never. Bayern spanked Sporting Lisbon 12-1 and are in fine champions league form. Franck Ribery is menacingly skillful and should switch to a better club. He will cause problems for either Dani Alves or Eric Abidal, depending which side he chooses to play. If Luca Toni should start, he has a definate height advantage over and of the Barcelona defenders and could cause serious issues in set pieces, and only set pieces. Bayern has a defence that can play extremely well and extremely poor. Lahm has talent, but can he take on Leo Messi? No. Podolski and Schweinstegier are talented but i feel will not be too menacing today.
Bayern Munich: The match is being played at the Camp Nou. 98000 seats. Barcelona will be starting Thierry Henry, Samuel Eto'o and Leo Messi up top. Lahm will have his hands full with Messi. Oddo will be ripped to shreds by Henry. Bayern will be starting Breno, a 19 year old who has literally just been thrown to the dogs. He will be marking Etoo and Henry at LCB. Barcelona are offensively too strong for him to handle. Demichelis is a solid CB, but how many teams can hold of this Barcelona trio. Barcelona, in my opinion, have very little chance of losing this game. Xavi and Iniesta are always skilled in midfield. Yaya Toure is definately defensively sound and after seeing the lineups anounced, it looks as though Ribery will be going against Alves or Puyol, who was moved to LB. Podolski is not playing.
Barcelona should win this match easily. Easily.
