Is anyone concerned that a 2-2 draw sees both Croatia and Spain through, while eliminating Italy?

In 2004, Sweden and Denmark played to a 2-2 draw, the perfect result to see Italy out of the Toruney.

This is simply food for thought.  I will not say fix, because I think it is used too often in sports, instead of people just taking bad beats like a man, but I do use the word "arrangement" when referring to numerous Italy Serie A matches in the past couple of years, where we see teams facing relegation pull out draws against better teams, while at the same time the books setting the draw line below +200, sometimes in the neighborhood of +130.

 

Does is seem strange that Croatia is +780 win win, yet only +230 to draw?   (on 5dimes)

 

Normally I would expect to see that draw price in the ball park of +350.

Setting a 2-2 Draw @ +400 is more criminal than the actual match fix.

Sorry for my ignorance but I'll just try this out now and know nithing about this sport. So plays would be Spain and Ireland+1.5 am I correct? My local book offers Spain at -190 and Ireland+1.5 at -140. Way off of what Vanzacj posted so I'm actually confused whether I'm looking at the same plays with my book.

BTW - I wouldnt bet Spain at -200, and I wouldnt bet Ireland at +1.5 -145.

BTW - regarding the "fix" theories about Spain / Croatia....

This situation comes up at least once a tournament, where a certain group has 2 teams playing each other where a draw benefits both.  It last happened in WC 2010.

Uruguay was playing Mexico - and both were on 4 points after 2 games.  South Africa and France were both on 1 point and playing each other.  If Uruguay and Mexico drew - both would advance.

The draw line on that game was crazy.  I think it was as low as +125 or so if I remember correctly.  Everyone was speculaing on them having a deal.

Uruguay won 1-0.

Needless to say - Spain will not sit down against Croatia today.  IF a draw happens - and IF it is a 2-2 draw - it will be simply coincidence.

And I believe that if Spain want to do this 2-2 draw, they will...Last time the fucked up team was Italy again, when the Scandinavian bitches made 2-2...I hope that there will be fairplay tonight, since I am a huge Italy fan and that Spain will win this game without any worries. The only thing concerning me is that there isn't 2-2 at the Euro since now...Hope we won't see one tonight and the Scuadra will advance! I don't really like to say this, but there are no penalties and red cards since the 1st game...So I expect there will be some tonight...Any specials review Van?

Thanks for the clarification bakemcbride and dimndimn. Spain is now sitting at -200 and Ireland+1.5 is at -145. No bet for me already as that's what Vanzack said.

Currently my local is giving Spain -1 (-140) and Ireland +1 (+135)
