I like the classic under achievers Spain to win this edition of the Euros.
However who will be this years Greece? My sleeper team is Poland. I believe this is their first appearance at the Euros however this team had a very disapointing world cup (just like Spain) and I like them to at least come out of their group and after that you never know

France! You have to be joking!? You cant go wrong with Germany but I still say my boys the Croats win the group at least.
I'm with you on that Croato. I'm taking Croatia to win the group. Also going to put like 1/2 a unit or maybe less on Croatia to win the whole thing, more of a fun bet though. They are the only team to beat Israel in Israel, and the only team in I don't know how long to do the double on England, not to mention the players might play harder for Eduardo. Holland is worth a shot also in my opinion.

Hey guys don't dismiss Greece in this year's Euro. They cruised through the Qualifying Rounds finishing with the top points of all the qualifying advancers, they are playing the with the same strong defensive core that helped them win the Euro in 04, and they have a much stronger offense who can score more than the 1-0 games that helped them win the Euro.

My quick thoughts on poland.. i watched the game against the USA a couple of weeks back. i know it was just a friendly but.. When I think of that game, i think of a big and slow back line that will struggle to contain any decent forwards in group play, Even the completely out of form Klose would give them fits I think there is a chance Group B finishes:

Croatia
Austria
Poland

My quick thoughts on poland.. i watched the game against the USA a couple of weeks back. i know it was just a friendly but.. When I think of that game, i think of a big and slow back line that will struggle to contain any decent forwards in group play, Even the completely out of form Klose would give them fits I think there is a chance Group B finishes:
I hate having to make soccer bets when only being given an option to pick a win, tie or loss. Thats a 1/3 shot and if picking a solid favourite you have to deal with high chalk.

I have already tried to break down the group stages and have came up with a couple of things.
1) germany is way to over priced and I think they can even lose the group with Croatia having the same record and maybe getting 1st with goal differential.
2) France have a great chance of not making it out of group play with Italy coming back now with most of the WC team and a Holland team that might surprise a lot of people.
3) Classic let down teams have a chance to go real far with there 1st real challenge coming in the knockout rounds. I can really see it being an Iberian Finals with Portugal going against Spain.
With that being said, here are what I see as the best value plays going into it pre tourney.
Finals Winner
Italy +625
Spain +650
Port +550
Croatia +1200(1/2 unit play)
Group Winner
Port +125
Italy +150
Spain -110( Best Bet)
Croatia +185 (Best value and worth a 1/2 unit)
So, i haven't locked anything in yet, but I see me putting 1 unit on Port and Italy to win it all. Then 1.5 on Spain and 1/2 on Croatia. 3 units on Port and Italy to win their Groups and 5 on Spain to do the same. Again, Port has the easier road IMO, but Spain may have the better team. The only problem with Spain is they will prob have to go thru Holland and Italy to get to the finals. See that most of you have some of the same opinions but love to keep hearing what everyone thinks. GL to all and I'm sure we will be chattin later.
