Brit does stand for British, but has nothing do to with my origins. It's a nick name I picked up years ago debating some sports when I claimed that England would've won 5 more WCs/ECs by now if they had the luck of the Italians. Of course these days I know that this wasn't exactly spot on, but I do think they should've had 1-2 more. Just remember all those losses on penalties, they turned into a nation of chokers.

Aren't PK shootouts just a matter of luck? If you flip a coin 10X it should be 5 heads & 5 tails. But it never works out that way. Sometimes you get 8 heads and 2 tails. It doesn't mean the "tails" were chokers.
I remember the 2002 World Cup where Spain won the shootout vs Ireland than lost the shootout vs South Korea. Do you really believe that South Korea was better in a shootout than Ireland? Hard for me to believe that.

PKs are as much a skill as any action imo.. bad ref calls, crazy weather maybe helping a defensive team a star player falling at home getting hurt is a matter of chance.. a PK can be close to impossible to save if executed at a high level such as a player like Gerard who converts at a high rate bc of his precision and power… On the flip side a goalie with superior size reflexes and anticipation ability really places pressure on the kicker to be that much more precise either making a save or causing him to miss the target… id say like anything else its a matter of execution,, luck plays the same roll it plays in other aspects of the game - can show its face but still generally minimal to me,,,
