Chile v Uruguay

Chile PK -106

Chile is unbeaten in last 9 games and showed strength in coming behind to beat Mexico in their group match.

 This match is also being played in Mendoza ... it is far easier to travel to Mendoza from Santiago (about 6 hours by bus, 5 or so by car) and, like against Mexico, the Chileans will have far more fans on hand.

Chile also defeated Uruguay in a friendly 2-0 last November, although too much stock shouldn't be placed in that game since it was Bielsa's last match as well as a friendly in Stgo. In an 09 qualifier, Uruguay caught a break with an early red card for La Roja but Chile preserved a 0-0 draw.

I see Chile winning this game. At this price it is hard to pass up.

thanks sudbury ... i have been away from the forum for a long time but had no idea there were Chileans here. I lived in Vina del Mar for a year and near Temuco for eight months.

Actually I'm a Canadian living in La Serena...moved to be with my future wife.  I absolutely love it here...but my spanish is terrible...I'm working on it.

La Serena is beautiful. Traveled up to Coquimbo to see La U play last year. Back in the US now but missing Chile very much.

I arrived her in early April and saw Catolica play La Serena...game ended in a 2-2 tie...Cato was playing the "D" squad.  My girlfriend is a big Cato fan and myself, prior to them wining the championship, had adopted La U as my team to create some healthy animosity in the relationship...she ate crow when me won!

I m leaning that way.  I like that fact Draw won't set me back.  Also 7 of those 9  matches went under 2.5 . Good luck

 I was reading up bout that match and so much for friendly, Uruguai played most of match 10 men as they had man sent off in 1st half because of hard foul.

Bielsa´s magic is over, Chile go back to reality! They will not going to win the Copa America, not even in 1,500 years!
