Wednesday game one. Anyone got a feel for this game. Line is currently favoring NSW by 4½ points and these game notoriously come down to the wire.Finally time for the Blues to dominate the next couple of years?
Before they start thinking of dominating for a few years they might want to win a series first.
They bottled it last year, celebrating at HT and thinking they'd done enough in game 2.
Freddy Fittler has come in for a bit of stick for not being 'coach worthy' by some in the media, but I have a feeling he'll work well as coach of NSW. He's also a bit different in his approach which makes NSW far less predictable which I think they've been for far too long. His selections back this up particularly in their backs, placing greater importance on speed over size. Daley seemed to want to pick a side that would just smash through QLD with it's size, but QLD will always give you effort, put their bodies on the line and tackle hard till the end. Speed kills late in games and NSW has plenty of that all over the field, so should be an entertaining game.
NSW to win by plenty for me.
