I notice i dont have to call up on sportingbet to do 2nd half bets thank god makes it easier has it changed for all bookmakers or sporting bet breaking the law

Well kind of changed. Legislation still states that you can not make a bet online when an event is "in play" However a lot of books have now got around that via a small loophole by allowing bets to be placed online provided the game is at HT (i.e. 2H bets are allowed).

The AFL submitted a proposal to the Senate last week to lift the restrictions. The proposal was endorsed by Cricket Australia. So we have the 2 most powerful sporting organisations in the country for it. The 3rd, the NRL, have thier heads so far up their ass in regards to gambling they want to go in the other direction
The books all want to be involved, including Taabcorp
The problem is that this is a federal law, not a state one, and we have shitheads like Xenophen and the Family First guy making our moral desicions for us
